Deans happy to rebuff full-time approach


Bray Wanderers star Chris Deans admits he had no option but to turn down the offer of full-time football with Sporting Fingal in order to maintain his job with global logistic provider DB Schenker. Deans, a former Republic of Ireland youth international, spent last season with the ambitious First Division club.

However, with the implementation of a new full-time strategy at Fingal ahead of the 2009 season, Deans opted to move on and subsequently penned a deal with Premier Division Bray Wanderers. The 24-year-old, who has also spent time at Derby County, Waterford United, Dundalk and Dublin City, returns to the Carlisle Grounds for a second spell after an 18-month stint with the Seagulls in 2006 and 2007.
