When I seen the video it looked like his leg snapped. I couldnt go back and look at it a second time to be honest so I dont think there was an over reaction. It looked extremely bad

Signs a one year extension to his contract - https://www.evertonfc.com/news/35617...signs-new-deal
The right-back, who joined Everton from Sligo Rovers in January 2009 for £60,000, has made 409 appearances for the Club, putting him 17th on the Toffees’ all-time list.
Coleman is also the longest current serving player in the Premier League and is just three matches away from surpassing Tim Howard (354) as Everton’s record appearances maker in the competition.

He's had some bad injuries over the years, or he'd be well past Howard.

According to Wikipedia, he's on 409 appearances for Everton. If he plays 25 times this season, he'll be the player with the tenth most appearances for the club, ever

Still not training with the first team squad, "but he is out on the grass though so he’s making progress". Sean Dyche, Liverpool Echo, 21 Sept.

Better than being put out to grass, I suppose.

Overtakes Tim Howard to become Everton's all time Premier League appearance record holder (i.e. since 1993) today. Hopefully has a few more caps for us left in him as well, 68 seems far too few for a player of his quality.

Except for that terrible tackle that broke his leg ~ ~ How many Irish caps would he have ? !

Credit to him for still playing at that level, while the player that did it to him is younger than him, but a couple of years retired. There was a real justice that we knocked out the Welsh after that, and that Neil Taylor never made it to a World Cup as a result. Less so that Coleman never did either of course.

I’d say he’s probably only lost out on about 10 caps between his 2017 and more recent injuries so not prolific. I might be lying to myself but I remember him possibly being underutilized under Trap and him reluctant to call him up.

Trap had blind spot re; Coleman alright ~ ~ And funnily enough he wasn't pulled up about it much either !

Who was he playing ahead of him? John O'Shea? That's hardly an insult. I just had a quick look at the euro 2012 squad, and the other right back there is Kelly, who wasn't a match for Coleman all right, though maybe Coleman wasn't fit.
