I took it as a pro-Charlton experience. So I didn't believe it was my cup of tea.
Also I took the plot to be at the least naive.
Just there on bbc profiling its show in belfast, london and dublin. Patrick kielty playing the role in the play one night in november (about the '93 norn iron v republic game).

I saw it back in the 90s. There are some good lines, but basically it's a simplistic dig at NI fans who are portrayed as being largely sectarian bigots. The author didn't attend the game, btw/
I saw it in the Olympia a few months back. Kielty was very good I thought. A decent play overall, better than Alone It Stands IMO.
