    Rovers homeless again

Just thought of this a while ago.

How about we offer Rovers the opportunity to play their home games in Bishopstown.

What a laugh that would be.

We could go out their every second week and give Reynolds the same treatmeant he he got @ the Cross earlier in the summer.

Call me an extremist, but, I would sooner see City die than have those utter scumbags playing out of Cork, even with the lure of Ratnolds.

And you jackeens aren't? Besides, some like myself DID actually go to Bishopstown to watch City. Hell, I even fondly remember some aspects of it - 1992/93, ah the memories.

    Question.

If Shams had to play their home game against us in the Cross next week, would they get all the gate reciepts as it would be their home? game????????

thought about that but then couldnt city then charge them rent
oh say ..the amount normally taken in gate receipts from a city rovers match

i think rovers can be held to ransom abit here by most clubs

We deserve that to be fair.

Rovers would take €100 at the gate in Belfield and then UCD could charge them €1000 for the use of the facilites.
    Now that would be funny...

In Belfield last night Rovers had there own people at the turnstiles, their own prices (€1 more than UCD charge) and their own program. I don't know what they were charged for rent but I presume that that situation would be the same wherever they play.

$hels are going to decide over the weekend whether to allow them back to Tolka. To be honest, I hope they are not allowed back, and scum have to play all their games away.
Still, Oily would sell his mother for a cent....

    Rovers Homeless

Bald Student is correct it was 1 Euro more on the concession prices and 2 Euro more for everyone else at Belfield Park last night for the Rovers "home" game.

Rovers had their own stile men and sold their own program. Althought they used a few of the regular security men that usually work at Belfield Park.

    Patsh

To be fair to Ollie it costs a lot to keep a fully professional Shelbourne going somewhere in the region of 1.5 million Euro a year. Now Belgrove's rent is a help, but the insurance premium has gone up since the flooding last year. And to be fair the Reds are not getting 11,130 at every home game , so something has to be done to pay the bills

Croke Park will be free from next week, why don't they ask if they can play there?

The word over on the Ultras MB seems to be that the game will either be played on Friday night in the Cross or Sunday afternoon in Tolka.
