    Pointless but funny nonetheless.

Since we're still pretty much in the dark over a number of clubs it's going to be difficult, but probably:

Prem. : Between Bohs and Pats (with Rovers nipping around)
1st: Shels (again this might be moot if clubs are thrown out) or Bray.
FAI Cup: Rovers beating Cork in the final
    League Cup: Dundalk
    Setanta Cup: Bohs
    Leinster Senior: Longford

Pretty diverse and if it's an accumulator worth a heck of a lot!

Mypost= the boris johnston of Rovers fans.

Rovers are the Shamrock Rovers of Irish Football. nothing more needs to be said.

As for predictions, depends on nutsy walking and taking bohs back 4 with him or else staying and going for another title:
    Prem division: Rovers/Bohs
    FAI cup : dundalk
    Relegated: junkies

    1st division: Hardy hars

    league cup: Fingal

1st team with points deducted: Sligo for non payment of wages for7/8 consecutive weeks.
2nd team with points deducted: Galway for non payment of wages for7/8 consecutive weeks.
Shamrock Rovers- Where trophies are won and envy is scarce

    wonderful supporters club
wonderful ground and the envy of every other club in the league,

from a jelous waterford fan ,all i can say is well done to the supporters of rovers for all the hard work they done since leaving milltown all those years ago,
it took a while but its all going to pay off. they deserve it.
    You're not fooling anyone, son.

Also for all those predicting Shels to win the first division, we haven't a bloody hope this time around.

one of the main reasons why fenlon wanted to jump ship on bohs is because hes scard ****less of what a club like shamrock rovers are going to be for many years to come.
    Did Linfield not pull out?

What do you think would happen (how you would get on) if you got promoted due to others getting the boot from the Premier? Honest question btw

Its far to early to tell, alot of teams dont have more than 5 players signed up for next seaosn, lots of wheelings and dealings to come! Ill predict closer to start of the campaign.

It all depends on how other teams shape up, Bohs could go belly up (hope they don't), Rovers could get a wobble (prefer if they didn't to make the title race tight), we'll battle in mid-table, Sligo will be in the hunt for a top half slot, if SF are in then they'll clog up the middle, and I see the title race being more open this year than for the last few, and I rate Pete Mahon highly as a manager and coach. He'll have more in hand than at UCD (player wise) so why couldn't Pats have a whack at it, especially with Derry out and Cork looking likewise.

For nationalistic reasons I'd like to see both Bohs and Shamrock Rovers have strong squads and be fighting tooth and nail all season, with a couple of sides nipping at them, because then when it comes to Europe they'll have a half decent run. Rovers, in 2-3 years time, havea realistic chance of making the group stage of the Europa League, Bohs, this year, should get into the 1st round proper of the Champions League if they can keep a good squad and sign 1 or 2 strong continental players then they should do well.

Pats, I don't know, I just think they'll be solid defensively and score on the break. That will make the difference between them and other mid-table sides.

Good point! I can't see Pete Mahon using the long ball game, but he's tops when it comes to making positions for players. I know he's been knocked a fair bit of late, but one major failing for Roddy Collins was not bringing Pete Mahon with him when he was drummed out of Bohs. While I still see the motivation ability the Rod has, Mahon is the man who (Bohs fans can slaughter me as they'd know better) can turn good players into better ones, and I think he can do this at Pats.
