Looking forward to the draw, not that I'm planning for much from UCD, we didn't exactly steamroller a very poor Cockhill Celtic on Friday, cant see us progressing much further than the next round. Would be great to see Ian Ryans Wexford go on a bit of a run now, and of the remaining non league teams, think Lucan Utd could cause someone an unexpected problem .

Correct, 37 year old Dave Mooney being one of them, he scored in their win on Saturday. I was surprised to see he’s still there after signing for them 3 years ago

I'm off to the alma mater then! Been meaning to check Maynooth University out for a while, no more excuses now. Unless they swap it of course.

Interesting Derry-Cork tie. Curious to see what standard Cork are at, could be a tough enough game.

Couldn't imagine Cork are delighted with the draw though. It's basically double the distance of their furthest away trip this season, with possible added cost of a hotel for the night.
Have you ever won the treble?

You’ve beaten and drawn against us already this season plus we’ll coming off a Thursday European match , so you have a great chance

The pessimist in me would say given we had those two results the chances of having a third must be tiny.

I wasn't thinking about how Europe may impact ye, and the nice tight pitch down here will also hopefully stand to us.

I was talking to a lad who was at the Lucan game on Safurday, he confirmed that at least 8 of their starting 11 are ex LOI or ex English leagues. By all accounts Mooney was just ridiculously good for a man of his age. They have also picked up one of the UCD lads who left, Harry McEvoy, who apparently was head and shoulders the best defender on show and reportedly scored an absolutely outrageous goal as well. Another player that walked from UCD in the window, can't imagine he will be more than a season in LSL. Think he had some injuries at UCD, but was a standout talent when he came into the UCD side a few years ago as a very young lad, had UK interest but like a lot of the UCD lads, wanted to put education first. I expect Bohs will have too much for them, but not completely without potential for a shock given Bohs have lost their two most potent threats in Devoy and Omochere. That might be the Dublin tie I go to next round.

Has that whiff off it alright, and struggle to see anything other than a Galway victory. I'd imagine the league is priority for sure, but not like Myler will play a weakened side, he only picks from 14 players anyway, so will be good to see how we fare against a team who will blow their chance of being in the play offs anyway 🤣

Could be miles off, but an outside bet for a cup shock may be Bonagee at home to Shels.

Lot of experience in that Bonagee side, Mickey Funston, Gareth Harkin, Tony McNamee, Packie Mailey and several others in their squad with good LOI experience. Shels should be expected to win it, but Bonagee won't make it easy for them on their own patch.

Presume Lucan will reverse the fixture to Dalyer and pick up their share of the gate

Decent recent record against Rovers. They may be distracted by their recent PO game.

    Can’t complain on our draw.
