    At Galway...sadly for Dundalk fans.

Impressive appointment by Galway. His style of football can be questioned but his experience can’t.

I'd be very confident they are back in the Premier division by 2022 with him in charge and wouldnt be surprised if he had them in mid table or better in his first season in the Premier Division.

I would safely say with JC being from Knockcroghery originally in Co Roscommon was a key part in his appointment! I imagine JC will be making the move locally. Hell of a coup for Galway no doubt the Comer Bros had a key role in this.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

The players are already there as well. I was shocked with how flat they were against us last Friday, they were well organised but no creative spark about them at all. Now while Caulfiled is hardly the type of manager you think of when it comes to free flowing attacking football he'll know exactly how to get the best out of that group and I wouldn't be surprised if they make the playoffs this season.

Apart from about half of Drogheda game on youtube, I have not seen Galway this year but results give some indication of the level of play. For the last 3/4 years there has been a big problem of letting in "soft goals". Keepers often at fault, poor defending at set plays and over playing at the back have been reoccurring problems. Hopefully the new keeper and Caulfield's coaching can bring some improvement. Can this season be salvaged ?

I would be confident with JCs appt that Galway will be in race for playoffs. With likes of Shane Duggan there already they should comeback strongly.

Not a fan of Caulfield’s style of football but the man knows how to get results. He will do very well at Galway.

See ex Cork City player and current backroom staff member Johnny Glynn has being kept on by John Caulfield. Great move by him. Of course they would have being teammates at Cork.

Well after what Johnny's been through it wouldn't be fair to cut him adrift.
