This game is Cork City's first pre-season friendly at Turner's Cross since 2013.

I seen further back on the thread that home friendlies are included on the season ticket, odd then that there isn't actually any home friendlies.

But as mentioned above, the game against ye will be our first pre-season friendly at the cross in six years.

Could it be that the expected attendance for friendlies is small enough that it'd result in them losing money to open the stadium for games since they'd still have to follow all standards and procedures?

In our case, probably yeah. We do have most of our pre-season in cork, just at other venues.

Great to hear Lukey was back on the pitch tonight as Shels drew 2-2 with Bohs.

CCFC are not alone in that as the afore mentioned Mourhino another example albeit on a different scale. But the premise is the same when trophies were being won including in Europe, a bad run and the crowd turned along with the players, many of whom were not happy with how things were being done. Sadlier leaving Cork is symptomatic of the similar issues at Old Trafford. Difference being that JC's ego is not bigger than the club he played for and loves and he keeps it in check most times to driving his teams on rather than turning on anyone else.
Another similarity is that both clubs sign players from the Premiership.

We played them ourselves last season and won 12-0, handily the worst side I've ever seen in Richmond and I used to watch Jeff Kenna's team every week.

Bucko and/or Campbell must have some kind of in with them. One of their subs was warming up in jeans when they played us ffs.

    Entertaing game for pre season.
Killarney worked hard to close City down but had difficulty creating anything.
Killarney have a lovely setup which would put a lot of LOI clubs to shame.
Lovely people as well & very welcoming.

Dundalk 5-0 up on a truely awful Drogheda side Kelly with a 15 min hatrick, in truth it could be 10 not even half time yet .

The foot came off the gas a bit in the 2nd half(lucky for Drogs)
Sean Murray #19 looks a player and a half, sign him quick and Georgie Kelly looked stripped fit and lean,Duffy his usual brilliant self.(1st half anyway,Drogs marked him with 3/4 players 2nd half)

Good run out for us i thought and i was surprised by the decent attendance.
