Lads get back on the topic re Pats in Europe.

How many do you think would be at the RDS, presuming pats come away with a decent away result. I think over 10000 would be a great crowd

Its hard to say. Bohs didn't get anywhere near 10,000 for their game v kaiserslauten a few years ago. german teams haven't got that big a cache about them.

They don't have any museums or the like but there's some cool stuff. If you see an aerial photo, the roof doesn't cover the whole way around, the flame was down that end and the have plaques with all the gold medal winners there. There's a load of classical style statues and other olympic buildings around the stadium too. The entrance to the stadium is stunning too with the rings hanging from between two towers. You'll enjoy it.

Wasn't capacity at Tolka restricted to about 6,000 for that game? Something to do with requirements of German TV?

They bought all the tickets for the Riverside iirc so they could set up cameras wherever they wanted.

yeah, that rings a vague bell alright.

Obviously I'm hoping for as big crowd as possible, I'm just not one of these "we'd fill Croker if we played..." merchants

The away fans end is beside the opening at the end beside where the flame was (the far end from the rings), which is a pity as there's a great view from the other end. You can go up the bell tower, which is a few hundred yards away.

All in all, its probably the best away trip the Pats fans could have got.

Nah, that was Libertas last year, which Drogheda (eventually) saw off. Even Berlin aren't that bad.

I'd love to see 10-12,000 there

but then the last game only sold out on Thursday morning - & that was only 2900 tickets - so you'd wonder where all the other people will come from (& why they wouldn't come out for the Elfsborg game)

Will it still be €10 a ticket? presumably RDS will cost a fair bit to rent . . .

Probably find that the Sportpark is also not up to standard for this round.

I see that Hertha signed Andrei Voronin from Liverpool. Pats are a shoe-in now!

I see Pats have agreed to compensate fans affected by the switch to the Tuesday. Fair play to them because it would be annoying for fans who booked straight after the draw. I know most clubs couldn't afford to do that but it's a nice gesture.

    Any predictions on scores lads.

Will Pats get a real hammering? 4-0 or 5-0 maybe? Its been a long since we have seen a live TV hammering for a LOI side.
