Without disappointing Pats fans, they won't be playing at the Olympiastadion. They've been playing their last few European games at Jahn Sport Park, and can't see that changing. My season ticket gets me in for free to the Europe games which is nice

They're a young team, capable of keeping the bigger teams quieter on their good days and looking like a Championship team the next.

Pantelic scored against Ireland for Serbia, and he's their main threat. Other players that you'd know are Arne Friedrich and Jo Simunic.

The game will be in Dublin. Not confirmed where though.

Not winnable, we'll make a couple of quid on it, and the fans get a decent trip out of it.
wouldn't be so sure on that(in terms of winnable being away goal perhaps), if pats can get a draw away from home they have a serious chance in the second leg. I think having the first leg away from home makes a huge difference to Irish teams as has been proved in the past. If pats are in a position where they can focus solely on the euro games then who knows.

That was only if the first leg was at home

Thankfully - this didn't happen and the tie will be at the RDS

Shame if it isn't in the Olympiastadion - but the Jahn Sportspark looks like a tidy little ground.

Unbelievable all the people who wanted Pats to get Milan, then bawl at all the Italian's goals go in.

Decent draw for Pats against a mediocre mid-table German outfit, they stand a good chance of progressing, compared to what they could have got.

Its a good draw for Hertha, they are playing the 80th/80th team in the co-effs

This is a hard game as the majority would have been, they will find it extremely hard to win in Germany, if Berlin win about 3-0 in the 1st leg, Pats have a chance of a win at the RDS.

Decent draw for Pats, well be hard to progress but who knows. Playing away from home in the first leg is crucial, it makes such a difference. If they can get a draw or narrow defeat in the first leg with an away goal they will have a decent chance.

I'm curious as well if Pats fans think this European run will save McDonnell his job. Pats are likely to finish miles off the top again this season and will European success paper over the cracks in that respect

what cracks? not sure anyone else would do better. The majority of rubbish signings we've had recently weren't his.

If Pats fans have time, I'd recommend going out for a look around the Olympiastadion. They don't have organised tours but you can pay €2 and walk around inside and outside the stadium and various olympic related stuff around it. Well worth a look.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
