They were unhappy signing a Euro 2012 bound international on a short term deal who scored 9 goals in half a championship season from midfield and cost absolutely nothing? Thats cracking business and a very low risk move
Had a quick look round a few wba forums. To say they were unhappy with him joining would be an understatement. However am glad to say after 2 appearances and 2 goals they are coming around

Just involved in putting WBA 1-0 up at home to Chelsea. Recycled the corner and McAuley tapped home from the resulting shot. He seems to have made the midfield role his own already. Long and Cox on the bench.
Played the full game for them today. Wouldnt attribute WBAs turnaround in fortunes solely to Andrews but three games and three wins when he has been involved.
Seems to be establishing himself as a big player for WBA and I would argue he is one of our 'must haves' this summer along with Dunne, Given and Keane.
The way the BBC has lined the sides up here http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17163246 suggests he was partnered in the middle by Reid today. An Error? Or in these times of midfield paucity, do we have a midfield pairing available who are in an EPL top ten placed side and just took out Chelsea ?
No, Reid was right back. Tamas came on to replace him as a like for like swap.
I was not really aware of all the goings on on Blackburn, rather overshadow with the Kearns stuff
here is a link giving a bit of background to it all.

Actually Andrews does not hold any hard feelings towards Blackburn.
"I don't take any satisfaction whatsoever in seeing them second bottom of the Premier League," Andrews said. "I have some good friends there and it is not nice to see. I am not one for holding grudges.
Anyway things seem to be going well for Andrews at the moment, I think WBA have won every (3)
game he has played so far and they are 3rd placed in the Prem on current form.

Love reading this stuff, in my line of work ive also come across many nationalities and I would definitely agree with this, I don't know what it comes down to(800 years etc played a part im sure"The whole country comes to a standstill and it's at times like this that you are very proud to be Irish.
"We are a very patriotic nation. I have come across a lot of nationalities, especially in my time playing football, and I haven't come across a more patriotic nation.") but we definitely are.
I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
It's a shame our fellow country men couldn't have extended that to club football in this country.
You can try make out you're as Irish as can be, but wearing a Man Utd/Liverpool shirt kind of takes away from it
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D
I like reading Andrews' stuff. He seems a likeable, level-headed and articulate guy. I think he'll go on to be a manager or coach and we'll be hearing more from him in the decade after he retires.
I assume I'm the only one who's noticed the scorer of important goals has yet to score in these championships.
He's a scorer of important goals, not a miracle worker.
I think a few of last night's starters are past their sell by date, but I think I'd keep Andrews around.
Our player of the two games so far by a distance - I know thats not saying much but it was pretty evident to all I think the desire and commitment he has shown, where others failed.

I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
"No, I drink to help me mind my own business....can I get you one? (c) Ronnie Drew
To be fair only sledge has scored.
Keith did manage to get in about 12 shots, which I find remarkable, I think that is as many as the rest of the side put together!!
Although it has been said the nearest he came to scoring was booting the ball intot he crowd after being sent off!
I can only recall a couple of free kicks and a header.
He could've had a hat-trick in the last 15 against Croatia. Keeper saved a shot from distance, header he should've scored and flashed a shot wide from 20 yards.

Andrews signs 3 year deal at Bolton.
He's writing in tomorrow's Examiner about the Euros. It'll be interesting to read what he has to say. He's a bright and articulate guy.
Don’t miss Keith Andrews’ exclusive column in the Irish Examiner tomorrow, Saturday, when he offers an insider’s view of Ireland’s disappointing Euro 2012 and reflects on the lessons to be learned ahead of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
