    F.a.i. Vs G.a.a

interesting that all a.u.l. games were called off last weekend in cork cos of cork hurlers particapation in the all-ireland final
did the same happen in kilkenny

wander would the cork g.a.a. board be so kind to call off all hurling games if cork city made it to the f.a.i cup final

I'd imagine that it was just a numbers thing. It more than likely got to the stage where a lot of the teams looked for postponements because players were going to be in Dublin for the match so those upstairs decided to take a week off. It wouldn't have been the AUL doffing the hat to the GAA out of respect.

    would the converse happen? No.

There are far more supporters of the Cork hurlers playing soccer, than there are hurlers who follow Cork City. There is no comparison and trying to make one is a waste of time.

It's my opinion that you are wasting your time. I pointed out that there is no comparison, so why try to make one?

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
