Not a hope of getting the clubs to cooperate with each other unfortunately. But hopefully the FAI can beef up regulation and improve things that way.

And while I agree that producing youths is the way forward- eventually you have to pay them decent money of they'll depart for another club.

You could almost say they were not really ready to come up I guess.
But where would they have gone? Not to Cork as if Cork wanted them to would have gone anyway and not to Limerick or Waterford.

Fair point- a few might have gone to Waterford though. By all accounts these guys were on buttons last year, chances are even MSL clubs could have paid them what Cobh did.

For the whole season? That sounds extremely low.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

None of them went to Waterford this year. In fact, one of ours went the other way in a roundabout way.
There is a regular crossover there alright, just not this season.

Which is the sort of thing that Cobh increasing their budget would be to prevent in this case.

The indo report a few weeks back has their wage bill as €12k per week, so almost €50k a month.

True and when you consider that they went up on about €2,500/3000 shows what a stupid bonus structure the players are on
