"China and India, 30% of the world population, need a league to watch and we want Manchester City to be their club. To do that, we need a superstar because, no disrespect, Richard Dunne doesn't roll off the tongue in Beijing."
Amazing.... if that was the criteria for signing players why not sign Beckham, Pele, George Best, Roger Fedderer and Gwen Stefani...
    Oh yeah that's right they're variously Sh1te/ Old / Dead / not a footballer /actually a chick singer...
Superstars are all well and good, but this goon needs to sort out the situation with Kil Jong il or whatever his name is and build up the team until they get into the Champions league.. slagging off and driving out his better players will destroy what has been built up at City....
    innit though??

Good market to target. Must have been listening to Niall Quinn although he is targeting a much smaller saturated market.

Thought he was outstanding tbh, there's nothing to keep him out of the national set-up, he's well able to do the business for city, it seems to boil down to him not giving a toss about the national team, it looks like we may as well forget about him....
    innit though??

    s. ireland was quite good and showed good stamina and pace to create the two goals late on. more worrying for ireland though was the outstanding performance of petrov who tore the ar$e out of west ham's new right back. arabic last name, signed from lazio. petrov will take some stopping down the flanks.

Fair point about Petrov, we need someone with pace to deal with Petrov or to double up on him,He made bits out of Berhami, (who's terrible) I think he's actually Swiss...

Apparently Mark Hughes is very keen on the fitness side of the game, I can't say I can recall Ireland actually runnning past a player before, although I am sure he has, possibly on his way to the airport.
