Well, it wasn't an April Fool as suggested elsewhere. Apparently 1.8 million coming his way if he keeps them up. Nice money in the current economic client.
Shearer rumoured to be taking over at Newcastle until the end of the season. Strange decision with the team in the relegation zone and no managerial experience. I thought they might go for some old warhorse similar to Joe K.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Bohs getting beat by Cork, Wolfsburg destroying Bayern 5-1 , and now Aston Villa beating Manchester United at Old Trafford. Weird weekend.
Spoke too soon
Sky of course almost had canaries. Their most used word "unbelievable" was not spared needless to say. It is quite common for teams to come back from a goal down and how often have we seen goals scored in the last minute? Quite often. Exciting ok but not a huge shock. Wasn't overly impressed with the guy who scored the winner but no doubt he'll now be "the star of the future".

overly impressed !!! he is only 17 years old thrown in at the deep end with 3o mins to go as utd chase the game. very hard to judge him on 30 mins but must say he took his goal brillantly .. if rooney / torres / drogba scored it we would all be raving about the goal.. he showed some confidence for a 17 year old all the same .![]()

Had he done much up to that? Remember when Rooney hit the scene as a 17 year old? Different class.

very hard to get into a game with only 30 min left.. alot of other so called big names had done not much up untill then.. as i said he finished well for his goal and who knows in 5-6 years time he may be playing alongside rooney or playing 1st or second division football only time will tell ... but ferguson must have been impressed somewhere to throw on an untried 17 year old to try and re-ignite utd's title dreams![]()

Don't come much better than that game last night. The two dropped points will only be a disaster if Man U win tonight. So over to Portsmouth.
Newcastle's position is looking very dodgy, now managed by the spiv in the grey suit.

True in the sense that I'm sure Liverpool fans would have taken both clubs winning their matches this week. However, such was their dominance last night and Arsenal's incredible inability to clear the ball, it has to been seen as 2 pts dropped, regardless of the result at OT. Games are running out for them so they need to make up the difference wherever they can, not just relying on United's so called tricky fixtures like the Arsenal game and Manchester derby. Both these matches are at OT anyway and I'd expect United to win them. Boro away will be the one to catch them maybe or Wigan.
Toons are in serious trouble alright. I think Boro will get out of it, kind of hope they do anyway. 3 to drop-
Hull
Newcastle
West Brom
Well, after the excitement of the 4-4 the night before, it was back to 0-0 last night. No mention of why "the whole world watches the English Premiership" by Keyes. I don't think the FA Cup Final will be an attractive game somehow or other since Chelsea have lacked width since the departure of Messr Robben, Wright-Phillips and of course Duffer.

Im a united fan and have to say that was a terrible decision to give that penalty which let united back in tonight. Big result for them and once they got the goal played very well. Awful first half performance. Only need ten points from 5 games now
Strangely enough there was one view where I didn't see any touch on the ball by the keeper. Terrible the way Spurs collapsed. Once more good viewing.
At the other end Hull lose again. Big game for Newcastle today.

awful performance in first half indeed spurs were well worth their 2 goal lead but i thought they started 2nd half very negative gave utd the upper hand sitting back and trying to slow game down ... as for penalty it was a terrible decision alright .. but then again last week another terrible penalty decisions not given against everton probally cost utd the f a cup semi final... must say after watching 2 games on setanta yesterday utd & liverpool liverpool also benifited by ref decision to award free kick for opening goal after mascharano tripped himself.. on both teams utd looked more impressive trying to play football as all liverpool seemed to be doing was lumping it forward to torres.. but at this time of the year i suppose winning the 3 points is more important than playing good football.. have a feeling still a few more twists in title race before end of season![]()

I was disgusted watching that Man U match. Completely cheated out of it Spurs were. I know, I know, they still lost well, but if that penalty had not been given it would have been a completely other story. Never been so gutted in my life, as if Spurs did get something out of it we may have been in for a terrific final couple of weeks. Not to be because of Mr. Bennet. It wasn't only the penalty decision that really got me reeled up, but about 30 seconds before it Ronaldo put in a really dirty tackle on a spurs player after losing the ball, it was a definite yellow, no doubts, even the commentators were fumed how he got away with it.(and again for anyone watching the match, did anyone see Woodgates yellow in the first? It was for a foul on Ronaldo, and no way was it as bad as his own foul before the goal.) Ronaldo is a little ponse who needs to get manners put on him! Rolls around and gets away with murder.
My point is Man U get everything at home, and its become comical. I was never more angry after a match than yesterday.
I'm only having this rant this now as i know the league is gone from us and am gutted after that yesterday.
Roll on next year![]()
midget gem please remove your liverpool glasses ... did you not see liverpool v hull when mascherano tripped himself to get free kick which led to liverpool taking the lead why are you not complaining about that terrible decision or big martin skyrtel rolling around like a ponce to get folan sent off... ronaldo does roll around alot and a lot of the time also he gets fouled and nothing given due to his reputation most of the top four teams get away with murder at home just get over it and accept itoh forgot to mention what has poor mr bennet got to do with match as ref was howard webb are you sure you were watching the match
