With all the negative stories appearing in the paper would it be worthwhile to have a mediawatch sticky in the Eircom League forum? That way we can keep abreast of all the stories coming out in the paper, discuss them in one thread (rather then having random threads for random clubs) and also see what the local papers are saying around the country (Limerick could post up articles from the Limerick Leader, Galway from the Galway paper etc.).
This way we could keep the specific club threads (Indo report on Cobh for example) in the designated club forum, but still discuss them in the main eL forum
I disagree. First it would inflate the ego of the individual journalists.
But more imporant information comes from different directions and sources. While many threads maybe start with an article from a printed source, with discussion it doesn't stay that way.
For me the source itself is not the most important element but the content. Many individual journalists and editors may disagree.
The idea is motivated because of negativity, ( but unfortunately that is most reasons for debate)
