Anyone see Art Garfunkel's Telegraph interview? An interviewer's dream..
Will there be a chance Jack Grealish will go for Ireland now he's played so crap?
Best decade for hairstyles
50's-60's
60's-70's
00's-10's
10's-
70's-80's
90's-00's
80's-90's
It's like nobody heard of hairspray or gel in the 90's. There was the curtains look. There was the step. There was the just got out of bed and didn't even bother combing my fringe. At least the 80's had a distinct style. The 10's is too elaborate. It's the metrosexual look. The 00's got it just right. Men left the 90's and entered a brave new world. The curtains and out of bed looks were replaced with the carefully cultivated and intricate spikes. The 70's styles was revolutionary, it was counterculture; men with long hair. The dreaded mullet hadn't entered the scene yet. All through the 50's and 60's men had manly haircuts; not long, not too short. They didn't elaborate too much with their hairstyles and didn't spend too long in front of the mirror, but dammit, they took pride in their hair. Fringes were nowhere to be seen. Not a hair was out of place. It was the perfect length and just the right kind of elegant.

The greaser look as worn by these teens. This is the pinnacle of hairstyles.
Belvedere U-16 player, a child, tragically dies during a game earlier today.
Meanwhile on YBIG.....
"Saw this earlier. Poor lad.
What was worse was the yellow card he got for diving"
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
More casual venomous racism from public figures against the Irish in the mainstream Australian media.

Imagine a diatribe like this against black people on Sky News or Jewish people on Fox News or Asian people on CTV.
Absolutely amazing in this day and age.
We also can't verbalize the difference between film and fillum. As a Latino American girl I knew once, once reminded me, several times.
It's no laughing matter though. Sure I am not coached in media relations and I know better than to go on national TV and talk about how Asian people supposedly pronounce lonely as "ronery".
It's f***ing despicable. Scottish people and English people have many, many vernacular quirks also, but they are not a source of derision and mockery like we are.
It's far more acceptable to be of Scottish and English descent over there. I wonder if Aussies of Irish descent play down or camouflage their ancestry when they grow up reading, listening and watching bigotry like this.
It's like being in Victorian England sometimes.
I'm sick of going to most grounds in the League of Ireland and everyone talking about how nice Harps fans have been over the years so I'm determined to become the token annoying fan that everyone hates.
I think it's going well so far.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.
I really really like Nigel![]()
People do have a problem with the letters 't' and 'th' in this country though. Even I find it annoying.
He's from a country that has the flag of another nation on its own flag, and whose head of state lives in London. Nuff said!
And this from a bloke in a country where you once needed a criminal record to get in.
Ah, good old Groonskeepurrh Woolie. Mrs Grise was watching some unspeakably bad rom com recently, and got in fits of laughter when a Scottish woman introduced her husband: 'This is mah husband, Athole. [Cue sniggering] He comes frumm a lawng line of Atholes.'
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

I would care about this Australian guy. But then I remembered how unbelievably intolerant and racist and downright awful Australia is.
Almost 10 years since I moved there and I'll never forget the ignorance of a lot of the people I came across.
DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?
His name is Grahame Morris, his parents were so ignorant they couldn't spell his name properly and he has followed in their footsteps! He is a right wing buffoon who is a member of the Liberal Party who deny climate change. Possibly enough said.
Bonnie, according to Aussies, Oz is the most multicultural country in the world and they are proud of it. However, once migrants come here it seems many see it as okay to racially abuse them!
Of late, I have noticed that many right wing politicians including the PM, a di#khead if there ever was one, seem to think that vilifying the Irish is fine. Recently, the Irish ambassador wrote an open letter to the Age newspaper explaining how Irish people feel about such behaviour. Seems to have fallen on deaf ears, but certainly created discussion. On a personal note, I hate when Aussies ask me how long I have been here and then enquire why I still have an Irish accent - bloody annoying.

D#ckhead apologises. About time too!

Meh. Not too bothered if people take the **** out of us TBH.
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
Yup.
Thought the tree/three comment was kind of funny actually, even if the comments overall were stupid.
The bit in the article where the guy says -
- kind of shows the guy is still up his own hole."he added that "kick [me]" had now become the national sport of Ireland, "instead of Gaelic football and soccer"
Grahame Morris is now my turd favourite Aussie politician and he can make of that pronunciation whatever he likes.
