When I had my ankle in a cast a few years back my youngest lad came up with a theory that got me through the ichiness. Scratch somewhere else. If your right let is in a cast scratch your left arm. Your brain gets distracted by the scratching and the piece in a cast calms down.
Give it a go and if it works let me know and I will put my 11yr old forward for a nobel prize!

Thank you MagicMe for your Son's suggestion about the itchy cast.It didnt really work but ill try it again,i hopefully only have to put up with it for another week if xrays are good next week.
