Dickens' classic "A Tale Of Two Cities" was first serialised in two English local newspapers.

It was the Bicester Times, it was The Worcester Times.

Local gun shop, which also sells a range of outdoors/hunting gear, had a sign a couple of years of ago saying - "Now is the winter of our discount tents."

I heard he committed sewer-cide after he was arrested.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Am I the only one disappointed about the end result for DB Cooper?

    https://www.rollingstone.com/culture...entity-693912/

    Decent read anyway.

Also, who was the member here who had "DB Cooper is alive" as their signature.

    I think that was Angus?

One of the disproportionate number of UCD fans who've been on here at one stage or another.

Just watched (on and off) 7 hours of a chess match between Carlsen and Caruana. It lasted 115 moves and was a dead draw from about move 38.

Hopefully Game 2 will be better tomorrow.

Happy new year one and all! May all your teams sign star strikers, and all your wishes come true.

Personally, I'm just glad to see the back of 2018.

Ever since the demise of Termonbarry Albert's, this site just hasn't been the same for the likes of our Bonnie.

Shoudl be back a tad more regular now I would wager. If only to be a smug b*st*rd to Kingdom when we do the 5-in-a-row next summer.

Well, as a Termon Hibs man their demise was actually a boon to me.

    And another...

So a funny thing happened there the other day. Was on Politics on Boards and when I clicked back into the main page it ordered the page from oldest first for some reason.

Anyway, saw a thread titled "Its Rabbitt!" and not realising the fact that it was 2002, I started to read it as it seemed an odd thing to be at the top of the feed, anyway, look who I ran into:

My post count on Boards was obscene. I eventually lost faith in the whole setup (they sold out and the whole place went to sh*t), broke all my own Foot.ie rules and went full suicide by cop. Then I did the same with another 3 or 4 accounts. I'm not proud of it. Although it was immense fun at the time, because I know all the tricks of the trade.

Still have an(other) account there, but I only use it for a rare question that can only be answered locally. I generally hang out on Reddit now, and only post there to rant at Americans, and make obscure jokes that very few people get.
