Here's some info - seems to be nonsense.

    Good idea though.

in the two cars in our family, the arrow is present and accurate. I actually heard about this a year or so ago. I subsequently started looking out for it in other cars and I have yet to come across one where it isn't the case.

Yes, it is an American thing. I have two cars with the fuel tanks on different sides. The Australian car hasn't got an arrow while the American car (Toyota Highlander) has one. Simple idea, but bloody helpful!

So, I'm in North Carolina. My friend's car is a Kia Rio (Korean) but it has the arrow.

I checked with the ex back in Dùn na nGall and she has a Vauxhall without the arrow.

    The plot thickens.

Also. I'm just home from that future islands gig and they were out of this world. Daft Punk in Paris good.

Any paddy's who have tickets to see them in November are in for a treat.
Any one who hasn't a ticket... Get one (for the second night).

I've come to the simple conclusion that Americans are so stupid that they need to be reminded where their petrol tank is every time they fill up.

Wouldn't get that problem here, even if do you make a mistake, sure the hose stretches across to the other side of the car anyway.

Bigger cars, smaller hoses, make your own analogy!

Yao Ming has to be the worst pro-basketball player that ever lived.

I was met with this bizarre spectacle on my walk back from work yesterday evening: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co....adilly-7080028

    Quote Originally Posted by MEN
Gangster Domenyk Noonan has scaled Manchester’s Big Wheel in a protest against plans to recall him to prison.

The 49-year-old climbed onto the roof of one of the pods of the giant wheel in Piccadilly Gardens before climbing ladders to its centre, about 100ft above the ground.

The drama started at 3.30pm. Operators of the Big Wheel shut it down with some customers stranded in other pods.

Speaking on his mobile phone from his position halfway up the 197ft wheel, Noonan told the MEN: "This is the scariest thing I have ever done in my life.

"I want the police to stop harassing me, even the probation service over the last three days. They are threatening to recall me to prison."

Noonan, 49, said he had a 'stupid argument over the washing-up' with a friend at an address in Cheetham Hill where he is required to stay under the terms of his licence.

He added that because of the argument, he went to stay at another friend's house in Stretford, which was technically a breach of his licence conditions.

Noonan accepted that he will be arrested and recalled to prison as a result of his protest and added: "At least this time I have actually done something."

Cody Lachey, 30, a friend of Noonan, said at the scene: "I've just spoken to him on the phone and he's planning to come down at 10pm tonight.

"He's prepared. He's got a sleeping bag, chocolate, crisps and a bottle of water. He's also got insulin for his diabetes."

He has spoken to his solicitors and he has been told he is likely to be charged with wasting police time and will be in court in the morning.

"He has proved his point, he has brought Manchester to a standstill."

Members of the public who were stuck in pods when the wheel came to a halt have now been released.

Police officers at the scene have made no attempt to scale the wheel to reach Noonan and appear to be waiting for him to come down.
He eventually came down close to 10PM. I didn't stick around...

Ah Cody Lachey, the "patriot" who had the run in with McClean! Is the view from the big wheel much better from Piccadilly Gardens than it was at the Triangle?
For once maybe someone will call me "sir" without adding "you're making a scene."

Recieved 8 x all stars in an 10 year NBA career, some of which came in the midst of some pretty tough spells out through injury. Your standards seem too high!

In my humble opinion he was one of the most under rated players in the history of pro ball and if he had steered clear of injuries who knows what he could achieved.
