Mother of God, Laois were robbed.

That referee will want to lock himself away for a few weeks. The folks of Laois will be out on a manhunt.

Jessica Ennis. I'm a relatively recent convert to your charms but bless you and your amazing body.

Both teams were as bad as each other. Ref was atrocious. I think he spent the second half making up for the poxy decisions he made against us in the first. Unacceptable. He could teach Martin Sludden a thing or two.

Well and truly made up for it too! Adding on one minute was a disgrace in itself, but then not even playing one minute additional time was absolutely shocking.

After watching JJ Nevin I had to run to the shop. Came back and the 100m was over. Is it just me or does anyone else see them all with syringes for legs?

I'm confused - did you honestly think you could run to the shop in faster than 9.63 seconds?

No, just really needed an ice cream. Yesterday it was 40 degrees in Moscow. Which basically means 40, plus 80% humidity, plus destructive air pollution, plus grumpy people. Lovely hurling!

Off to Longford I go....I dunno why I bother sometimes. I'm just gonna get drunk, shout abuse, and then give out about what Harps did wrong. But I just keep going back for more.

Nigel, what's on my mind is that I watched your video where you're smashing blocks and up on the wall. Liked the song, have to say the whole vibe was a mix of Trailer Park Boys-Hardy Bucks-UCD Freshers. Sent the link around and heard only good things.

Ah good man yourself! Only to happy to be of entertainment, albeit, looking like a right tool.

Cheers for that! I shall reward you with great riches some day.

So, I decide to stick a few quid on Live bets in world football. Decided I'd stick a few quid on this Chilean Premier League team called O'Higgins FC (why not with a name like that).
I got to thinking, and googled the team.

Turns out they are named after Bernardo O'Higgins, the man who essentially won Chile their Independence from Spanish Empire and was the first leader of Independent Chile.

His father was Ambrosio O'Higgins, who was Governor of Chile in the late 1700's, was in fact, born and raised in the townland of Ballynary in County Sligo.

    Random fact of the day.

Potential friendly there for Sligo Rovers surely?

Knew all about the man and the team. Have a mad fascination with Irish figures such as him and Guillermo (William) Brown from Foxford, Co Mayo who founded the Argentine Navy.

Time to go get me a new gaff. I hope that this is the last one pre-emigration.

Moving in 2 weeks myself. Be glad to get out of an apartment overlooking the busiest and noisiest part of Letterkenny and into a nice quiet housing estate on the outskirts of the town centre. More room and a garden for my dog. It's all looking up.
Although I'm going to be flat broke for a while.

There is a plaque by the river in Sligo about them. The started the banking system over there as well.

Definite potential for a friendly with them, would be great to see it.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
