    Surely some value here lads
someone, somewhere must have a strong feeling for a team..
athenry have been knocking at the door a while.
clonmel look the team to beat in tipp
tralee dyn??..put 4 past ncw last week
carrick look strong in w/ford and bohs put out one of the favorites.
made a nice few bob on w/port couple of years ago..felt sorry for carew the way it happened.but there was only one team in it i the replay.
one of the best junior sides i had seen in a while...comparable,arguably to the fairview teams that dominated for late 90's and early 2000's.
come on lads, need to get one over the bookie's!!!!!

west united although not quoted are 25/1 to win it,best team in galway this year, they possibly would be the strongest connacht representative in the competition.they play usher celtic from dublin on sunday, anyone know what usher are like?

I'd imagine whoever originally posted the odds was basically naming out the more well known teams they've heard of?? Some mental odds their, any team that gets into the last 16 and is drawn at home has a superb chance of winning the game,no matter who they're playing... Its not the FA cup here lads.. Anyone want to call Shenanigans??

The one that made me laugh was Geraldines, a 1a team in Limerick, ahead of 2 Limerick premier teams and a host of other premier teams...

What about Kentstown, from the second tier of the Meath and District League, a **** poor league, priced at 66/1???? They had a good run years ago...but have to beat St. Kevins (14/1) to make it into the next round...go figure..

Spot on 1676, West United are the strongest team in Connacht this season ahead of Athenry would be a good punt if you can get 25/1....but they have to beat Tuam Celtic in Shamtown before they make the last 64. (At least Athenry are through already).

Easy win so...maybe I should have a punt...Have they the squad to challenge for both league and cup?

reckon Kerry might turn a few heads this year, lisselton rvrs & tralee dynamos
are looking formidable (apparently!). As far as I know they have the best players in the county between them,Dynamos are looking towards "A" League
and Lisselton are the Chelsea/Man City of the KDL.Wouldn't be surprised if either team made it to last 32.Obviously there's still the heavyweights from Munster.Any other outsiders around the country we should know about?

west united it is then...with another investment on fairview and probably pike.....both sides have strong squads assembled this year and both have the experience of out of town games,in particular pike who have been knocking on the door for a while now.
when fairview won in 1997 the bookies in limerick got cleaned..backed alll the way through the rounds from 40/1 downwards.
felt like that harry enfield character"load's a money!!"
    AAAHHHH good times

Hardcore we all play the game of football, we all agree to be bound by its rules, players, supporters and ref alike. Because we agree to be bound by these rules we must follow them. Westport had one of our players sent off for handball, and Carew brought the ineligible player on to convert the penalty. We were rightly entitled to a replay.

Anyway with 10 men for the majority of the game we played them off the pitch and scored a goal in the process and lost on penalties, we were the better team and in the replay we showed that again.

We have won a bigger prize than you have ever won.

Come back when you win something. Put that in your back door.

In fairness Westport are realistically connaughts strongest representative. They have won it before and most if not all of that team that won it are still playing. Also, they have built on that squad and have some quality players. West did beat Westport last year in the connaught cup but I wouldnt read to much into that.

Ballymun at 20/1 are worth a flutter - tough game this weekend in Manulla but they have the pedigree and in Casey McQuillan a good coach and a link to their 2001 win.

Aside from that it looks wide open. Sheriff YC are a street football team and will blow up under any pressure or intimidation outside Dublin, crazy that they are favs.

Apologies for omitting the Mayo sides, my only logic for doing so was their performance in the last couple of years the the Connacht Cup. Athenry have been to the cup final since Westport won the competition and have been dominant in the Connacht Cup and Galway Premier for the last couple of years. Plus Westport and Castlebar are still a round behind Athenry or West.

Castlebar are already in the last 64 and are playing Rathkeale this weekend. Westport have one outstanding tie which is being played this weekend(weather permitting). They are playing Mulranny so should sail through to the last 64....!! In fairness there is nothin between these sides. Although Ballyheane( a very average Mayo side) did bring Athenry to extra time in the connaught cup a few weeks back!!!
