    Story doing the rounds...

... that I presume (and hope) is utter nonsense linking a Mick Wallace/Pat Dolan consortium taking over Cork City at the expense of Wexford's senior position? Anybody able to conclusively dismiss it? And by that I mean have some kinda of an inside track as opposed to just erupting in moral outrage at the prospect.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

I'd say something along the lines of straws clutching at.

Mick Wallace is a proud Wexford man and I can't see him doing that to his club.

It was something that was raised in the past. I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see Dolan making a takeover attempt (with another investor NOT Wallace). I'd be very surprised to see Wallace walk away from the Youths. He seems happy with what he has.

I certainly can't dismiss it though, but I wouldn't have an inside track either.

Can't imagine a Dolan takeover would be too popular with Cork fans.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

I can't see Mick leaving the Youths at this stage. I can see him stepping down as manager in the future but not to swap what he has now for an 'investor' position within another club. I'm sure there are rules regarding conflict of interest and he would have to sever all ties with the Youths

Well as they tell us now, they always thought there was something fishy up with that Arkaga shower but "what choice did we have?"

I am also hoping utter nonsense. to be honest i would highly doubt that Wallace would walk away from the Youths after all the time, effort and money he has put in not to mention is was always his ulimate goal to have an LOI team in Wexford even when he did sponsor Cork a few years back he spoke about it.

As for Dolan off with him to Cork he does not do a lot. turn's up when he feels like it and falls out with players.

Maybe Roddy will get some friends to buy Cork and take over

Sorry meant to ask where did the rumor come from?
