    Mayo's Finest

    Hi Lads.

I was just wondering, who are the best players in the Mayo Elvery's
Sports Superleague at the moment. And are there any former
Eircom League of Ireland players playing in Mayo at the moment
    Shamrock Rovers - 1 - 2 - Waterford United

Danny Scahill & Eoin MCHale should be in there from Westport too, Vinny O'Malley maybe not.

S & F United: Alan McDonnell, Johnny Jordon

    Manulla: Centre Back (Tommy ???)

Who is Tom King from Celtic? Crazy talk!! Andy Neary is not great either!

Neary is a great footballer, one of the best in the league. His versatility is probably a hindrance though, often gets asked to play in too many positions.

Q: Which youth player at Argyle do you think shows the most potential to progress and have a career in the top flight?
A: That is a very hard question. In England, if you're not knocking on the first team door at 18 years of age, you're shown the door. Yet physically, youth players are still developing up until they are 20+. In Europe they have more understanding of this and give players longer to develop. The majority of coaches in Europe are better educated and aware of this.

Dan Gosling for example, is still growing and he is only 16. He will need a lot of support and understanding, which I know he will get from Ollie, as he goes through these growth spurts. Just because he has played in the first team already, does not guarantee he will succeed. Gossy ( Dan Gosling ) and Summers ( Luke Summerfield ) both have huge potential. Anthony Mason and Tom King have also great potential as have one or two others. But it is how they are handled now that is important. Too strong, too heavy or lack of understanding of the individual and you will lose them. There are some excellent players in the Centre of Excellence, but I will not name them, because I think that would be unfair on them.

Wont be near an Oscar traynor team, he's a decent left back at best, not very versatile so Celtic should play him there and not in centre mid!

Martin geraty is probably the best centre back in Mayo too...

Andy is a quality player and has probably been celtics best player for the last few months, plenty of heart and passion and will give his all every game!!

sean reilly is finished playing for good. he got a bad injury and needs an operation but cannot take time off work as he is out on his own. he will be sadly missed and has been priceless for celtic down through the years!!!
Reporter to Gordon Strachan: gordon, what's your impression of jermaine pennant? Reply: I don't do impressions!!
