good season for Sunderland and Bolton
relegation for Derby, Man City and Wigan
i reckon Roy Donovan will be a good signing for Roy, and Mcshane will have a great season
Chelsea have a better squad, and if man utd have a few injuries then they might suuffer, and have paid a lot of money for unproven talent
I think Bolton still have most of the team as last season with a few good additions , and might be freer without sam allrdices boring football....maybe!

I think Leeds will almost certainly go down now with their penalty. Jesus won't be needed on that one.

Lionel, if you stay up, you should probably thank Jesus as opposed to saying he can suck your balls because I think you need a miracle.
I dread to think what morale must be like at Leeds at the moment and while I do have some sympathy for you I think it's going to be a hard season. No money, young kids in the team, off field distractions and now this penalty, in an extremely competitive division (and let's not forget that Leeds have a certain reputation which will spur all your opponents on to beat you) all adds up to big worries in my opinion.

I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.
In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.
...maybe that is his thanks.
Even IF Jesus saves ...you know Tresor Kandol will blast the re-bound over the bar.
...yes we're particularly excited about some of the young turks we've coming through ...Thompson, Flo, Lewis.
I'd expect no less than for it to be a competetive division. I don't expect to hit the ground running either as most of the playing staff only signed up this week including keeper Casper Ankergren who has had no pre-season bar a run out with the kids against non-league Guisley. But we'll be okay though. Effectively sentenced to two seasons in this division is all. Anyway I'll repair to the pre-existing thread on Leeds points deduction for further discussion of this one.
As for the rest of them next season...
For the Premiership I'm going to fly in the face of percieved wisdom and common sense and say...
1. Arsenal
2. Man Utd
3. Chelsea
4. Liverpool
5. Newcastle
6. Spurs
going down...
Derby, Fulham and Boro.
Championship:
Promoted -West Brom, Southampton, Coventry City.

Relegated - NOT Leeds ...dunno thereafter

Man Utd to win the PL. Nani, Anderson, Tevez and Hargreaves will all be challenging for 1st team places whereas Sidwell and Pizarro etc are nothing more than fillers (from a chelski point of view). I think Arsenal will surprise a few people this year by running them a close 2nd.
Relegation from the PL will probably be Derby, Birmingham and Wigan. Bolton, Fulham and Boro to have poor seasons.
Forest will **** on League 1 this season!!

You'll NEVER beat the Irish.......you'll just draw with us instead!!!
1. Scousers
2. Chavski
3. ManUre
4. Yids
Sunderland will finish 10th-14th.
Hope all our top Irish players have good seasons and injury free and we get a few young lads coming through. Would love to see Stokes, Doyle and Murphy knocking in the goals to keep Robbie focused.

No chance of Man City being near relegation. A number of quality signings (including manager) added to a number of excellent players there already.

4. Tottenham
5. Arsenal
6. Man City (maybe a bit of a long shot...)
Relegation:
18. M'Boro
19. Derby
20. Birmingham
So you're already going back on your prediction?
West Ham may not be much of a test but City played well and earned the three points. They already look a lot better than they did last season.
I really struggle to understand your footballing knowledge, benno. What's your big problem with Sven?

i expect liverpool to push a lot harder this season but its probably still 1 or 2 seasons away from the title...arsenal still have quality and will finish top 4.sunderland will be mid table.............middlesborough, bolton and wigan will struggle this season...........my dark horses this season are blackburn....watch this space......
When I Was Young I had Some Sense
well superfrank you are still a young lad
well he isnt a coach, buys players just from watchin DVds, and isnt very good..............as we all saw during his england reign
but i also dont think man city have that good of a team
but as i said, it will be a long season, so there is no need to be going over our predictions just yet, one week in!
