Saw on SSN this morning that Chimbonda and Tainio are expected to make their debuts so I would expect a strong squad. The game is on Setanta tonight by the way.

Can't wait for it, a lot of hard work has gone into tonight, lets hope it's a cracking game and a cracking night.
I think the Sunderland Committe deserve a big pat on the back for this they have done monumental work in the short time they have had.
    Well done lads and lassies

couldnt agree with you more RR they deserve a lot of credit for what they have done and it just goes to show that there are people in our club who have the ability to bring us ever closer to financial security. enjoy luncheon today unfortunatly i cant make it but will be in he front row tonight to see my local team take on the team lead by one of the greatest sportsman in irish history a big thank you to him aswell for without tonight we would have been in a real bad place.

Looking forward to watching it on the box tonight. It'll be the closest I get to seeing them this year the way my trips have panned out.

Ken Henessey at it again tonight by allowing Daryl Murphy's goal to stand even though he was 3 yards offside!

I thought Davin, Murray and Daryl Kavanagh were our best players tonight by a mile. Pity about the miss peno! (deja vu!).....just proof that centre-backs shouldn't take peno's because they can only go to one side!

No it's Max Cream!........it's just that Pat McAuliffe doesn't know his Ramblers players like Steven Guthrie

Entertaining game, I thought Rams gave Sunderland a really good work-out and I'm sure Roy is pleased he came over.

Kavanagh was superb, he gave the full-back a torrid time right under Roy's nose, and I'm sure Roy will have another look at him at some stage. Great to see Dav showing signs of a return to form, Gaynor led the line well and Guts delivered some great balls forward.

The attendance wasn't bad, I'm guessing 5500 or so, shame a few more City fans didn't come to take a look but I suppose that's what happens when there are TV camera at the ground. I hope the club have made enough out of the game to get the finances back on track.

I was impressed with Kavanagh by the way, tidy little player. Davin showed some good signs that his form is returning. I would have liked to have seen him running at Bardsley a bit more but he beat him very nicely a couple of times taking the ball out of the sky with his chest. Thought the team did well enough in general, especially in the first half.

Saw it on TV & maximum of 4000. Ye should have held at St Colmans & save the rent money. There was less than City v Pats game the night before. Sunderland market has been saturated. Ramblers did not deserve to lose by the scoreline based on what I saw. Penalty was hopeless although was never a penalty.

Were there many Ramblers fans or mainly barstoolers?
