Paudie, you have to remember that some fans will use any oul excuse whatsoever to have a go at Dolan. and by extension, City. All these guys seem to think they know the minutest details of club agreements etc., and always see conspiracy theories when any little thing upsets them. They know as much and as little about any arrangements as you or any other poster does. Simple facts must never be allowed to get in the way of a opportunity to have a go at City.
Just because a few Longford fans miss a weekend in Cork, obviously there had to be some dark and devious goings on in the bowels of Turner's Cross to thwart the innocent and virginal midlanders. Come on down any weekend, lads, ye'll have a good time and won't go away with a hiding...

So what exactly was your problem with Pats playing you on a Monday? Was that just an excuse to have a go at Collins and by extension Pats? Or the $h€l$ game just an excuse to get at Oily?

You're a bunch of double standards tw@ts - on a level with Bohs moralising about rovers hoolies...

All credit to paranoia, but as I said before like, never let facts get in the way of your own ranting and raving.....

go wash your mouth out with soap young lad....

we came to an agreement with Rovers in exactly the same circumstances, that's what i based my suggestion on.

the current situation with all clubs screwing over each other doesn't sit well with me, but when the fans start bickering over the petty antics of their clubs and the poor relations between them it only makes it worse.

christ, you're a bunch of fooking babies.

you fool there was no problem with playing pats on the monday, what happened was that city didn't want to play on saturday and then again on monday, so they put the sat game back to friday to give them a bit more time between games. Whether it broke and agreement or not, I don't care to be honest, it was for the good of CCFC, and thats no. 1. I'm sorry about fans losing their bookings etc as i said at the time. I'm also sorry if Longford and Drogs are bearing the brunt of CCFC standing up for itself. We have been kicked around and treated like crap by Dub clubs and the FAI for too long, and now dolan and lennox are finally doing something about it. At this stage I'm so fed up of other people ****ing us over, I really couldn't give a flying **** who we do or don't upset. I'm also tired of people blaming this on Dolan- he is the team manager. Lennox is the Chairman with the final say to the best of my knowledge, so this petty little "blame it all on Dolan" vendetta that has spread like wildfire from Inchicore is both irritating and wrong. If you, Macy, had the brains to take your blinkers off and actually listen to what people are saying and read what people are writing, you would know that our objection to the shels game being changed was down to the reasons behind it. If shels had changed a game against Longford or Dorgs or anyone else for a friendly, I would not have been happy with it either. If that game had been played on thurs to facilitate a european game or something important (i.e. not moneygrabbing) I doubt many of us would have objected, grumbled yes, but not objected- and you know what? We travelled anyway

    what would you have done?

Surely the question for Longford fans is would Longford have played a home league game on a Saturday and a cup semi final in Dublin the following Monday(in which you played your full team)?

I don't think so, especially if league rules allowed you to move the game.

It was unfortunate that it happedned so late and travel plans were upset but surely City have to try to prepare as well as possible.

    [How oft do my thoughts....]
