Obviously the sight of him eating chips at Cork's last game didn't put Steve Coppell off.

I seen that alright. I cannot beleive professional football players eat chips.

Have you seen Michael Phelps diet? Professional sports people can get away with a whole lot more calories than average joe due to the amount they burn, I doubt he makes a habit of it. A few chips on a night off is not going to do him the slightest bit of harm.

Is that what they're calling sugar coated french toast these days? It's crazy, something like 12,500 calories a day, here's a link, it's worth a read.

Thats laughable. If you beleive that you would beleive anything. Funny though.

Oh you don't rate Ken Oman. Well that's conclusive enough for me. Remove this Oman character from the reckoning!

It's ok, somebody called Gavin Peers eats them all the time and if this thread is to be believed he is the second coming of Franco Baresi. He buys them all of Raf Cretaro.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

    talking balls there.

David Bentley was released by arsenal, hes now a 18,000,000 pound player.

paddy mccourt was released by rochdale, now look at him.

To say someone was released years ago and cant of improved since is crazy talk

None of the players the OP mentioned would get a call up as they're far too Irish.

just coz he made a high profile error in the Cl game doesnt mean he is prone to them. he also made damn sure he made up for it with 2 goals in Europe.

    He's big, he's hard
    he'll take a yellow card
    Graham Gartland, Graham Gartland

Only a matter of time before we see him instead of muppets like Nancy O Brien, Doherty, Bruce and others who player at a lower level and have no european experience and no medals

since when are robust tackles out of order .....do you not remember keane on overmars????
But he does seem to be prone to them in big games. Sent off vs Bohs the other week in the cup. Missing 2 peno's in 1 game in Europe last season or season before. Causing a goal in Kiev. Back pass for goal in previous CL round in Dalyer. At fault for goal away to Cork recently. Yes he does seem a bit prone to errors in the key games to me.

He's a million miles away from being an international centre back. He's not even in top 5 CB's in the league. He's just dirty and that alone wont get you too far at international level - you still need to be able to play a bit.

Bohs keeper Murphy would have best chance of a call up - especially as his competition (after the 1st choice) dont look too hot.

I think its better for the LOI not to have any players in the International squad:

    1. Other teams in Europe raise their games once they hear you have an International playing, just ask Crowe.

    2. They would get the blame for everything. Ireland are going to struggle big time imo, even against some of the weaker sides, and its best to let the over rated "stars" take the blame.

Murphy turned down new contracts with Man City and Swansea so to say they let him go is not true.
