thats a touchy subject with some clubs, even though B players are good enough to play with their A team , it is seldom they are called upon cause of the thinking if you want to play A you sign A, i thought the FAI was supposed to be a club team and so the best team the club can put out on the pitch, but in some cases no chance. Will have to settle for divisional cup and league even though that consists of at most 22 games over the season

Summerville went 1-0 up. It was 1-1 at half time with Summerville on top. Prospect got a penalty just at the start of the 2nd half and then a fluky goal to make it 3-1 one. We (Summerville) feel apart after that to be honest. 5-1 is very flattering but Prospect are a good side.

Yes we are in the same situation. It's horrible 2 matches in 2 months. I don't know what the leagues problem is but it would be nice to know.
Our last game vs St. Pauls both teams were togged out ready for go and no Ref showed up again. Our manager rang the league and they sent out a ref. Do they face any sanctions?

Come on Axe Man, what is the point in saying that? There might have been geniune reason for it did you find that out before posting this, i guess not....
So let me get this right and tell me if i'm Wrong , Axe Man has had two games in two months and is getting frustrated so he decides to vent some frustration out on the forum...now he slightly mentions League who are the controller of fixtures, so you would assume that most frustration would be pointing towards them but No , Axe Man decides to vent frustration towards a Referee.
So to answer question yes we have sanctions and they are administered by the Limerick Branch but here if you want to push for the ref to be sanctioned and suspended feel free to do it, we have little refs another not able to referee wont make a difference Honest...![]()
i dont think he was venting his anger out on the ref he was just saying that its very anoying when a ref does not turn up for a match where as if the team dont turn up its a walkover, 98% of junior players have great respect for ref's and the crap they face each Sunday on the soccer field which is why there is a shortage of them but axeman like all teams in the lower divisions do get frustrated when they go so long without a game, i do remember 6 or 7 years ago when there was no shortage of ref, they (refs)were complaining cause they weren't getting appointed matches, yes its junior councils making, rather than stopping too many teams entering they take as teams as possible just as long as they can pay their reg fee. 3b has nine teams cause one pulled out before the start of the season 4a has eleven, why was one team not brought up to 3b before the fixtures were made is a mystery ,sorry this would have made sense and we are talking about junior council.

I wasn't having a go at refs Jock. We all respect what you do (most of us anyway casing point the idiot that hit the ref in Portland Park)
It was a genuine question which you answered thank you.
Grinder is right it's so frustrating when we only get a hand full of games while if you look up the leagues you will see most teams have played 5-6 games excluding cup competitions. It's the junior councils fault no doubt.

i understand that , i have been saying it for years when i was playing soccer but it still hasn't changed... no new ideas have been implemented to help, like some leagues moved to saturday or alternate weeks for divisions. Also if when you had the boom Celtic Tiger a lot of the bigger teams with the help of lottery funding and Fai could have made there grounds capable of night games like some teams in dublin did. A bit of forward planning would have made things alot easier.
