I'd say you'd pick up tickets for Arsenal or West Ham outside the ground. Might be expensive though even at face value, Arsenal in particular.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

If it's Premiership football you want with easy-to-get tickets at a semi-affordable price then look no further than Fulham. It has the added bonus of being the most atmospheric ground in London - you can see the River Thames running behind the Riverside stand (naturally enough) from within the ground. The fans are friendly, there are plenty of good pubs in Hammersmith, Fulham and Putney, all close to the ground, and it's accessible from central London, Heathrow, etc.

    Sunday:
    Chelsea v Tottenham, 13:30*

All the London Championship teams seem to be away that weekend.

    *Obviously not.

Might just go to Brentford v Rotherham in League 2, as Brentford is closest team to where I'm staying.
I'm going to this game. I think i could get hold of an extra ticket if you would like to go (would be in with the Spurs fans). Let me know!

I am a West Ham member

Basically after season ticket holders take their allocation, there is a window for members to buy tickets.

After members take their allocation, they go onsale to the public - for Blackburn, I would be surprised if they sell otu for ST and Members

    Go to WHUFC.com for specifics

Might seem pricey but apparently they don't charge you for leaving the stadium

They're not in south but west London, based (just) north of the river Thames. My uncle Gerry claims to be their only Cavan-based supporter but I couldn't confirm it.

    Reading Vs. Crystal Palace

Anyone know, would it be hard to pick tickets up for this game at the ground? They can be bought online now but just wondering if it's likely that tickets will go on sale on the day.

You would have no problem. Reading didnt even sell out most their games last season in the PL.

Heading over myself on the 15th of November for the Fulham Spurs match. Really liked Craven Cottage and its going to be my venue of choice now when going to games in London.

Went to Reading/Palace today. Not a bad game, Kevin Doyle hat-trick.

So glad I didn't go to Brentford, 0-0 game.

Playing in Reading. Your original post suggested you wanted to sample some football in London. By the criterion implied in the above, you could have seen West Ham play at Sunderland and that would qualify as "London football". Not so.

Hope you enjoyed the Madejski, btw. For "atmosphere" it's about as soulless as it gets, but that's the way the game's headed in this country, even at Reading's level.
