I went to the match, hada few drinks afterwards in the Bohs bar and got a Taxi home. No trouble, cracking game for this neutral anyway.

Check out a GAA forum such as anfearrua.com and you will find that 25,000 page thread! Dunno why you would expect to see it on a domestic soccer forum. Also the munster u-21 incident (where an umpire was forcefully pushed) got extensive print, radio and TV media coverage. I've neither seen or heard anything from the media about this alleged "riot" in town so I don't really see what your point is.
Well said g spain. I thought it had a cracking atmosphere also and was a great game to watch and there is nothing better than the bohs bar after we have beaten Rovers in a great game. I brough a female friend of mine who had never been to a League of Ireland match. We went to Block B for teh first half as I was a bit late but then went down to Block F for the second half and she much preferred it there as it was ride in the middle of the singing etc. Left about ten mins after the game and got a bus into town and saw no trouble whatsoever, just lots of police about thats all.
In Trap we trust
major talkin point here could be both fans leaving at same time. iv made you aware of this, people have said this happened and called it "weird" - its not weird its downright stupid! its your club, will you do anything to tackle it? i seriously doubt it so dont take the high road here with me when im not even a Bohs fan. you are so why dont you bring it up at your next Supporters Club meeting or something?
As far as I'm aware the Gardaí generally decide when the fans are allowed to leave. Again most of this trouble comes back to dreadful event management on their behalf. It's a sad fact that a more pro-active and engaged police force could rapidly eliminate 99% of incidents that occour in proximity to League of Ireland games.

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
Probably made fun of his shirt as well

Seeing as this incident happened away from football grounds shouldn't we assume that Dublin has a lot of scumbags who like to fight rather than say that all eL grounds are unsafe as the OP suggested.
