Actually, if you look in the eL forum about it, you'll see that only Galway fans think it was a penalty. When you throw yourself in as acrobatically as yer man did over the trailing leg, the ref's always going to call a dive, even if it wasn't.

actually, i dont care what bitter limerick or dundalk fans think. it was a simple call, like lesters sending off. if you leave a trailing leg like the defender did and obstruct an attack its a foul. big surprise that dope kojak didnt see it tho...
    roddy collins you're a flanker you're a flanker!

So Dundalk, UCD, Limerick and Pat's fans all unanimously agree it was a dive, but you know better?

Look at it again. He jumps before getting to Evan and rolls in a dramatic ball. A dive.

Funny to hear Galway fans around me complain about a dive when Timmy was poleaxed late on (twas your third yellow; could easily if a bit harshly have been a red)

iv looked at the video, and im not convinced by your argument. "evans" leg catches murphy, his knee to be precise.

also how in gods name is that funny? student humour?

Ironic maybe. You call for a dive where there clearly was a nasty foul, and call for a nasty foul when there was a dive. And then call the ref incompetent.

The player didn't even bother protesting the call. He knew what he'd done.

Pause the video at 1:57 and you will see that there is no trailing leg and no contact. The attacker jumped/dived into the defender.

That ref was worst than useless, no wonder the league of Ireland can't improve its standard. why didn't we start with the same back four as against Derry. Still if we win in Cobh we can still get out of this mess.

Individual errors are costing us this season. This usually occur in the first or last few minutes or just after we score.
Should be a safety first attitude in the first 10 minutes of home games. Nothing stupid and at least we are still on level terms when teh game settles down.
This was a very bad result for us and could be very costly. I see Henderson is firing up Cobh by saying that Utd don't rate them. Not sure where he got that for but he is trying to use it to his advantage
