If all this continues with Ramblers and Cork City and both end up folding then a merge and the formation of Cork Ramblers is on the horizon

This crap wth asking the players to fork out has made it onto a poll on eleven a side.com........here
Vote away lads. I've already voted No and it seems a lot of people have voted No before me.

This is embarrassing stuff. Cobh Ramblers have reached a new low.

Also on the page is a great quote from Stephen McGuinness the chief executive of the PFAI:
It’s most disappointing Cobh would put their players in this position in the first place. How on earth do they feel it’s acceptable? The club should be looking to investors or sponsors – not the players, some of whom are among the lowest paid in the Premier Division.

Also on the same page theres an extract from an interview with Alan Carey and it seems that the players have said No.........Click here
Thankfully they have sense and have absolutely no intentions of getting involved.

I also voted no james ihink its a joke, and should have been done as a last resort if everything else failed but it seems it was the first thing thrown out there.

I do firmly believe that mebers should pay any amount that they can afford to keep us afloat, as a first alternative but i do think this has gone out the worng way and the media has made a mockery of it. Redshanks IMO is the most sensible poster here and i do agree woth the majority of what he says.

In my own opinion i think anybody who disagred with the investor idea years ago when we had people lined up should pay the €2000 as they said its our club nobody elses, so prove it i say.

As for mcguiness he can **** off as far as im concerned we had the 2nd largest sponsorship in the country and we tried the investor route only our members turned it down so we have no other road, so he can **** off and get his facts right and leave his judgements to to other clubs who have a far more bigger crisis on their hands than we do.

And finally i have to express my diasapointment in Alan Carey, a layer i back through thick and thin, and is nothing short than a local hero of mine.a simple no comment would have done rather than adding fuel to the fire that is the circus of the media at the moment they'll use anything they can at the moment to **** us, and the league up.

By the way the players should be the last people to suffer IMHO and we should do all we can to make sure they dont. They should NOT have to pay any loan of any shape or form unless it really is the last straw to be pulled at.

He wasnt nota hope, your right they shouldnt, but the club could be falling down and the captain has a laugh about it, ****** IMO. No comment deal with matters internally, not blasting us out there.

I think he was dead right in what he said" there having a laugh" I thought the same thing.

The Chairman is not keeping anythin in house so why should anyone else it was a joke from the start and is getting worse by the minute.

Does Des Smyths son have any Cobh roots I am sure he could spare a half a million or so!!
