    City jerseys to the fore......!

Took my two older lads to training ( with Avondale ) yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see that there were more City jerseys on show with the kids than .......wait for it..........

.....Celtic ( believe it or not )....only 4 on show.
    .....Liverpool......yes...only 1.
    .....Ireland ......!........4.
    .....Leeds.......no big deal really!.............1 ........"snigger".
    .....No Chelsea.....ha, ha, ha!

There were 6 City jerseys - 4 away and 2 home.

Only those Satanic worshipers ( self professed Red Devils ) had more on show with 7.

Still I had to laugh at one stage between drills a bunch of kids were waiting by one of the goals and started singing some of the songs from the Shed ( sounds like a title for a greatest hits album )..........including the ones about Flynny's "price on his head" & Georgies "white boots".

By the way there was only 2 GAA jerseys on display!
    Irish by birth,
Cork by the grace of God.

And now you too can do your bit

GOAL Jersey Day takes place on Friday September 19th when supporters of different sports and codes will be asked to wear the jersey of their favourite team to work or school and donate to the poor of the developing world.

It is hoped that offices, factories, schools, colleges and sporting clubs across Ireland will take part in this unique and fun event. Each participant will be asked to donate €5 to GOAL, which is currently implementing humanitarian programmes in 20 countries.

GOAL will provide all participating groups with a special “Jersey Day Pack” containing complete details including posters and collection boxes.

    City jerseys all the way.
