You are a muppet/WUM. Were you at the same game I was? We ran rings around ye all night. We had nothing up front but we outplayed ye for most of the game. Both were penos. We were denied one when Jesper was blatently taken out of the game in the first half. Ye were very lucky. Yere second goal was gifted to ye. Thats something we will need to sort for the rest of the season.

Corners count alone was about 20/1 for GUFC. Utd had a stonewall peno waved away by gough nothing unusual there. 2-0 flattered derry but thats football. Derry fans excellent in numbers and noise on a monday. Utd fans applauded kenny and derry off the pitch it was a good advert for the league cup

We seem to be the only ones bothered to stop them winning it again.

I don't really give a toss about this competition, we have bigger fish to fry, but it'll be nice to spoil their party anyway.

Obviously you know nothing about football.

It was an excellent match with good football from both teams.UTD were the better team up until Derry got a dubious penalty. We had the ball cleared off the line twice.

Met 4 Derry fans after who said it was "robbery".

Galway won't be relegated. UCD, Cobh, Harps are all worse.

Thank you. An away trip to Cork for the final would be nice. Could you recommend any pubs there that we could trash?

It was more the change in tactics and subs that changed the game not the penalties, once mcglynn dropped into the center we started tearing you guys apart,

However how we were not dead and burried by then i dont know, lost
count of the number of corners Galway had and made nothing of them

Galway should also never have finished with 11 men, never seen a more blatant hand ball, reaching into the air and punching the ball away with McHugh clean through. Alway Galway fans could argue Hargy should have been sent off two.

Both penalties were clear penos, but im still amazed we made half time at 0-0, it was galway corner after galway corner, second half started just like the first finished,

Another factor this was a completely new team from the regulars in the league, between second choice players and players returning from injury, only two that started against rovers, started last night, not a bad result for a second choice 11.

Fair points Garry. Both peno's were justified, although the 2nd one should never have been given. For the 2nd penalty the player had been waved offside, when Gough blew for a peno the linesman took down his flag.Unbelieveable stuff once again from the incompetent officials.Double standards of the highest order and i'm sure Cobh fans will be seething on hearing this.

As you said we should have been 2,3 up and we're denied a stonewall penalty but credit to Derry ye're in the final and good luck to ye.

I think it's been a very exciting game so far. Plenty of chances and plenty of tough tackling. Bohs have played some very good football too.

Even Hancock is having a good game.

all over - Bohs win. Its looking good now.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Ah now. He was atrocious. Abysmal.

Good performance from Rovers, Bohs really shouldn't have had that much trouble dispatching a part-time side who had just played in Derry five days beforehand.

Apart from the second goal through to half-time where Rovers were ragged, Rovers more than held their own and create more chacnes, but didn't put them away. Purcell missed a sitter at 0-0, Maguire should've equalised with his header and Amond could've been quicker at the end. Same really as the game against Pats where Hoops were coming out deserving a better result than they got.

Much better than the awful win against Sligo, but a tepid game on Friday will be back to square a haon. Just one of those nights where a great free and a long shot was just enough.

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

Trademark Killian goal. Trademark Rossi strike (anybody doing their homework would not dismiss 'shots from distance' from this player). Brilliant performance by Deegan.

We are completely out of centre-halves and concede a single goal, with Mssrs Owen and Thomas Heary playing a blinder. And all against Shamrock Rovers. Happy days! Hope everyone is fit for Friday.

Edit: agree about the ref. Took an avalanche of cynical fouls against us before he acted, and he was giving pity frees to Rovers in the run-up to their goal.
