    Some news for Tony Mannion

“It’s very important that we beat Kilkenny because then we’ll go into the games against Sligo and Kildare still concentrating on the League, but if we get a bad result on Saturday, there’s a danger that we’ll think that’s the League over for another year and lets think about the Cup,” he said.

Think about the Longford game, pigs will fly if Galway get a promotion play-off this year. The cup is the only chance glory.
Any condescension detected in this post is fully unintentional and is solely the perception of the reader. If I think you're an idiot, I'll tell you that. You won't need to intuit it.

    "Galway United 4-1 Kilkenny City
Alan Murphy scored a hat-trick as Galway United beat Kilkenny City at Terryland Park on Saturday night, September 20.

Murphy, who was Galway’s top scorer last season, had the ball in the net after only 60 seconds on Saturday night. The home fans weren’t celebrating for long though, as Niall Andrew equalised for Kilkenny in the third minute.

Galway appeared to have one eye on their forthcoming FAI Cup semi-final with Longford Town, as they failed to seriously trouble the City goal for much of the game.

But Adrian Carberry finally lifted the tension at Terryland with a 55th minute goal to put Galway back in front. The goal lifted the home crowd and United responded eight minutes later when Murphy grabbed his second.

The hat-trick was complete in the 76th minute, by which time the three points were already in the bag for Tony Mannion’s side."

Don't rule us out of the play-offs yet!!!!!!
