Imelda Henry is usually there...oh wait, that was election time.
With the plea for support having gone out. Did anyone spot any of our politicians (local or TD’s) at the Harps game?
I think we should be asking them why were they not there to support Sligo Rovers when we meet them.
I have scattered my dreams underneath your feet, tread carefully, cos it's my dreams you walk on.
Imelda Henry is usually there...oh wait, that was election time.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I think Jimmy Devins was in French Gueana representing Ireland at the European Space Agency meeting there.

After reading Tony McGee's proposal in The Champion, I reckon the Martians landed years ago.
Politicians are only out for themselves. I only ever see them around the Showgrounds at election time looking for votes. “Oh look at me I’m a massive Rovers supporter so vote for me”. In our time of need what ever ones help us should be welcomed but for the rest of them who only show up at election time the next time they come to the Showgrounds canvassing votes they should be kindly told to f*** off![]()
Misfits
Before ya'll go hanging the members of the political diaspora has anyone contacted them seeking their help for the club? They may be tackling other issues for their constituents at the moment, for example the removal of Oncology services from the General....(cough)....
No point criticising them for the sake of it, it's too easy and ultimately a wast of time. They need to be contacted and if they think something can be done that will reflect them in a positive light they will surly jump on board.

Well first of all Scanlon and devins are not involved in the cnacer services campaign,no FF are. FG ones also just pay lip servce there to get in the paper,i know i've been to meetings.
Rovers should get money from the council,it is an integral part of the communty and our history and it would damage the county alot if rovers collapsed.surely there this route could be walked down?
Are these people not supposed to keep up to date with happenings in the community? Surely Rovers possibly folding is a pretty big happening? Before ya'll go hanging the members of the political diaspora has anyone contacted them seeking their help for the club?
Do you have an extra chromosome?
It would be a major blow to the community, to people both young and old. It is the community that put the lifesblood into the club and it would be terrible for everyone to see it go.
From young lads training every night to try and get a chance there, to the general football fans across sligo.it is a part of sligo's history not to mention that it gets young lads into football and off the streets for a while.Didn't the governement in spain do something for madrid in the past when they were in difficulty?
My apologies RedRebel, the irony within my post obviously sailed over your head. I will in the future use smily faces to clearly indicate the meaning of my comments. I hope those "Blue Shirts" don't use too much irony at the Save Our Sligo Services Campaign Group meetings when giving lip service.
Some might say nothing beats "lip service"- note: irony used here.
Moving on, I can see you are concerned with local issues and the current affairs of the Sligo area which is commendable, however, your knowledge of how local authorities work is clearly delusional. Where in the name of god would Sligo Borough Council or County Council get money to pump into the likes of Sligo Rovers, it's a constant struggle for the councils to obtain the desired funding for their yearly budgets. The current state of the economy doesn't help matters either.
Although, Rovers have benefited significantly from Government funding, it was lotto money that build the new stand. note: no irony in the last two paragraphs.

Oh, it's the Community now, is it? I thought we were delivering a hammer blow to the County - the idea created some mirth to my friends in Easkey and Enniscrone when I laid it on them.
Well if something was done for an insignificant club like Madrid, I cannot see why The County Council haven't rode to the rescue ages ago.
Looking forward to your appearance on I'm a Rovers Supporter, Get Me Out of Here.
haha ya the countries broke? i guess you take cowens word as gospel aye?

I do agree however this was the MC's own doing, i personally didnt agree with what the farmer tried to do...all full time? what was wrong with core full timers and some part timers?then we go and chuck the guy who implemented that stupid idea.
