Yeah 2 great ideas to be honest...That should shorten the fixture list a whole lot...Maybe introduce the prem teams in the 3rd round or something..Thats 2 les games for each premier club which would make a huge difference in the fixtures.

should bring a bit of interest back to the competion,i think last years top 4 should get a bye to the quater finals and be seeded, the other 8 teams would then go into an open draw, with the 4 winners then drawn against the seeded teams, just a thought

yeah that sounds good, 4 first round games, 4 quarter finals, 2 semis and the final, thats 11 games, if they played 1 every Wednesday night in Jackman starting in January, it would bring it right up to Paddys weekend.

Great idea, and about time the LDMC used their brain.

Maybe they could do the same now with the Div 1A or Div 1B cup and play the games on Tuesday nights under lights also, thus minimizing the fixture pile up and freeing up refs for weekend games....

Heard a rumour (not sure how true) that it was due to commence on Thursday 08th January.

4 first round games, 4 quarter finals, 2 semi finals and final (totalling 11 Thursday's) with the final being played in mid March.

Great idea to have this under lights especially to solve the fixture conjestion that usually occurs on season end. They used to have the 'floodlit' cup on there years ago and that was a good success under lights.
