Will be very tight,
Pallas have the same good phyiscal team as last year, will make it very tough for Mungret,
Top Teams Like Balla,Pike,View,Regional are the teams to avoid !!!!
The bottom half Premier and 1A,1b,2a teams have very little between them IMO!
i'd have to agree with easy easy that if you were to take the top 4 or 5 team's out of the prem that there would'nt be alot between them & the team's in 1a,1b,2a.Saying that easy easy & his team mates would want to tighten up there back four b4 there game on sunday morning.they would'nt want to be given away any more stupid goal's.
would not agree with this lads, but thats only my opinion. I agree that the top 4/5 teams in the premier are way ahead of the rest of the teams but from mid table down in the premier and possibly 3/4 teams in 1a they are all close. Then you have possibly the rest in 1a/1b/2a who have some very good players indeed but have not got enough in other positions to last the pace and might get some good results here and there but over the course of a season are too inconsistent to challenge, especially away from home. But in the fai/munster junior and when a lower division team is playing a team a division or two higher in a once off game anything can happen......and that is the beauty of the cup![]()
your only as good as ur last game so lets talk monday and how many 1a 1b and 2a teams are left even poloni in 2b had limerick manager watchin some of there players and i saw them pre season very good team dependin on who is at work on sunday
----------------------------------------------------
There are also some really terrible teams in 1A, 1B and the teams that came up to Premier look to be the worst in years,
We will just have to see how the games go the weekend,i bet there wont be much if anything between Pallas and Mungret
Personally myself i would have to agree with easy easy..Was playing premier last year and playing 1a this year and 2a and to be honest there ain't much of a difference..I think that our team in 2a could do well against teams higher up the divisions but as said above we will have to see how teams do in munster junior and fai,
Pallas as said above are a very strong physical team and i would say they will be a hard team to beat especially at home..with mungret playing at home i'd say they will just pip them?!
As mentioned anything can happen in a cup match on a particuar day.Managers in the higher league's always have to gaurd against complacency .Lads will always chance a few pints saturday night if they think the team the they are playing the next day are from a lower league.Thats where the lower league teams have the advantage as long as they are not on the lash themselves .Apart from Southend Utd about 15 years ago getting to final of munster junior very few lower league teams make it to the final rounds of either the munster or fai I suppose getting a chance to beat the higher league teams is motivation enough to turn up.
i would definitely agree with easy easy. 2A, 1B, 1A and the bottom premier teams are quite close. there are definitely players playing in 2A that could easily play premier. i think a lot of lads like their clubs and just want to enjoy their soccer. saw hospital play athlunkard on sunday. hospital were excellent. wouldn't be surprised if they went on a good cup run. some lovely players. if you combined all the teams in 1B and 2A into one division the teams that are in 2A would do very well
so who from 2A has the best chance of going on a good run in the fai? any dark horses?
Pallas and St Pats have a big chance of causing an upset this weekend!
are pallas good?
some very good strikers in this division actually. that small red haired guy from aisling is very good, derek i think is his name. athlunkard have 2 good strikers and balla have a very good striker
i tink that's what could help team's from the lower division's when they play a club from the premier league in a cup, especially if they have more than one team ,they get cocky & think they have nothing else to do but turn up on match day & stick afew goal's past there opponent's.that's how upset's happen.so best of luck to all the team's in 2A who r playing in the fai this wkend.
I can't see anyone from 2A doing anything in the FAI. They are in 2A for a reason. Mungret to win 4-1.
