Dave Henderson scored for Pats in a league cup tie with Home farm in about 1987/88. We won 3-0

and I've a vague recollection of hearing about Alan Gough scoring a goal kick for Shels in a 5-4 away win against either Athlone or Monaghan back in the mid 90s.[/quote]

That was Jody Byrne away to Monaghan!!!
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!

It would've been from his hands - you can't score directly from a goal kick.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Nope, that was our other goalscoring keeper, Billy Brennan.

Didn't hear one song about him at the time though.

Yes you can, I've seen it on you tube before.

Meant in Ireland, although it's worth nothing that Mark Crossley has scored twice (and one was a quality glancnig header).

Obviously further afield, you have the likes of Chilavert and Campos.

Dan Connor scored a memorable penalty for us in our F.A.I. Carlsburg
Cup Semi - final against Derry at the Brandywell in 2004, that goal saw us
    reach the final that year
