Keep the head up there. We are better than everybody else in this league. Gutted about the last minute goal but the main thing was we didn't lose. We've gone there and played much better and lost. Waterford still have to go there on the last day remember.

its seeming more and more likely that our match against dundalk will decide this division this year.

Of our seven remaining games, four are at home and the two away ones that aren't against Waterford are against Wexford and Kildare - second bottom and bottom in the table respectively.

You only have three of your remaining seven at home. Your fixtures include tough trips to Limerick and Fingal with two of your three home games against ourselves and Shelbourne (who we don't have to play again).

With that in mind, I think it is a must for Waterford to beat us in the RSC. I think a draw for us would be more than enough, with a defeat for Dundalk denting but not ending our title challenge.

Don't know about must-win, as there's plenty of scope for dropping points on both sides still. Must-not-lose definitely.
You're dead right though that the potential for slippage is much greater for us. We've by the far harder run-in, and start that run-in two points behind ye, and so have to be considered HUGE underdogs for the title.
Very much Dundalk's to throw away.

agreed, but the blues-dundalk will only be relevent depending on the results before that. more slip-ups in store i think.definately dundalk's to throw away from here on in.
Paddy Power: dundalk 4/7, blues 2/1, shels 8-1, fingal 14-1
    Boylesports: Dundalk 1/2, blues 9/4, shels 9/1, fingal 14/1

It's not ours to throw away. We can win 6 out of 7 and lose the league providing you win the remainder of your games.
7 games out of a league of 10 is a lot to start talking about throwing it away.
I can't see Waterford or Dundalk dropping many points from now until the end of the season. The Waterford Dundalk game will be the cruch tie so all talk is very premature until that game comes up.

i'd be happy with 3 points at this stage. Don't care how we score.
There is a few former lilywhites in the longford team and Perth wouldn't mind I'd say getting one over us but we should win and nothing less is expected

Fully expect the win out of ye tonight.
To be honest, and no offence to Longford, if you can't beat them at home...
First of the very handy run in you have.
We need a real slice of good fortune, but I can't see it happening tonight. Really is yours to throw away.

just hoping for a draw. It would be about the best we could hope for. So then maybe we would have a chance of getting back in the race. Not going to hold my breath though.

Wouldn't be surprised if Longford got something from the game. Every side in this division are pure mule.

It depends how we are defensively. We had a good bit of the game against Waterford but at least two of their three goals were down to us being sloppy. If we manage to not let in a goal we'll get something .

Having watched Longford in tolka recently I'd imagine you'll hit double figures tonight

Also they were gifted a few great chances by our less than perfect back four and managed to mess them up.

    Dundalk to win 6-1

I also wouldnt agree, think we will both have 3 games after the RSC game, so anything could happen - shd be an interesting game though

one thing for sure though, both waterford and dundalk will each drop points between now and end of season, who drops the least will finish top.

    And deservingly so too

We were at our lowest at that time. We've come on a bit since then with a change in manager. At the moment it's 0-1 in Oriel!.

Yeah man, they call gambling a disease, but it's the only disease where you can win a bunch of money.
