True but I think we where always in control of the game. You had the majority of possession in the second but as the boys said your chances where still limited. At half time i didn't really know how the game would pann out. It was that open I thought there was another 2 or 3 goals left in the game.
Waterford only scored because of defensive mistake but anytime we pushed forward I tought we would score.

Yep - I was very impressed with Waterford, played some good stuff, nice passing side, few teams try that in oriel. They wont be far off us come Nov.

I think this is gonna be the closest 1st division for a long time, its still far from over. Shels, Blues, Sporting Franchise, and Dundalk are all in with a shout to claim the title, its gonna go down to the wire me thinks, just a shame its not getting enough publicity.

Does finishing 2nd get you into a play off or is just the champions that can be promoted?

As we are currently 5 pts clear with same games played, any further slip ups by the 3 below us will kill this arugment.

Pathetic result from us really. That's a promotion chase killer if you ask me.

It's not really, beat Shels next week and your right back in it. A Fingal win would prob be the best result for Dundalk too so come on Fingal!

Right back in it as in if you win too they'll still be 8 points behind?

Always going to be a very hard month for us.
Didnt expect to draw with kildare though. We need to beat shels no matter what. If we dont and dundalk win then thats probably it for SF.
If we get a win against shels, then thats 5 points for the month of august which is ok considering the teams we had to play.

I think the fact that fingal can't beat Waterford, Dundalk or Shels is your downfall. I don't think you have won any. Draws aren't good enough now for Fingal.

i think your right. We have only picked up one win against waterford at home. We do alright against the other teams outside the promotion hopefuls. If we are to get promotion this year we will have to beat the top 3 in our next round of games with them. Starting with shels this week.
    Im still hopeful though

Another huge week in the division this week,i really believe a win in Limerick for us would go a long way towards us winning the division, would love to see Shels drop some points against Fingal, though i think they will get the win,Waterford fully expected to take 3 points.Cant wait for the Lim game myself, should be a real test.

Oh Magicme..any chance if we do get promoted this year that you could follow us up the year after,i will miss the Mon Dogs!!!
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!

I disagree. If we win but Waterford also win then they remain 5 points behind but we still have to visit the RSC again!

It will be our intention Shep and not just so you can have your Mondogs either! You could always come over to our games from time to time and get your fix you know.

It goes totally against the grain but I want Dundalk to beat Limerick this week as 5th place would salvage our season and be a good result for us.

God will strike me down if I cheer Dundalk on but will take the risk and send some positive vibes that way.

JC lads I know its hard not to get carried away but there is still a third of the season left play and 36 points left to fight for.
We should only worry about shels, Fingal and Waterford in the week we play them.

I think there could be 5 teams promoted from the first with the amount financial problems that are afflicting the premier. Somehow I don't think we will ever shake off Monaghan
