Big Time we wouldn't of conceded 3 with him playing. No criticism of Marney but Ben's a great defender. I think we need to wrap him up in cotton wool all season and pray he doesn't pick up an injury

Waterford tonight with a win at Oriel could go top by a point whereas on the hand if Dundalk win they could go 5 points clear at the top of the league.

Should make for a brillant game of attacking football...........................0-0 it is then.

I have no doubt that the game will be as trilling as the Fingal game there the other week, thank god I only played 5€ to go to that game

I reckon Sporting should easily dispatch Kildare, they're at a quite generous price to do so too.
    What do you guys think?

Yup, they are indeed. 5/6 with Willy Hills. I'm all over it.

What a game last night. Should of been 3-1 but hey 3 points is what matters.
Our performance was good and we 3 games left of this series. Limerick (A), Athlone (A) and Kildare (H). We need 9 points out of those 3 games to take in to the Shels game.
We are just hitting form i feel at the right time and if shels win tonight they close the gap back to 4 points, but I certainly feel that if we repeat our performances against Bray and Waterford this week then we can really beat everybody in series 4.
C'mon the town. Are 6 years of absolute misery and heartache finally at an end?

We're 8 points ahead of Shels so no matter what happens, we will remain 5 points clear by the end of the weekend.

Dont know what game you were watching, but we played ye off the park in 2nd half. At the end we had numerous Dundalk fans coming over to us praising the way we played football and raving about our No.6 Dave Warren. Your defence was awesome including Ben Whelehan.

We were good last night, not great. Paul Smyth played very well up front in my opinion, linked up with Baker well. We were a bit scrappy in midfield at times but as always (save for Ian Ryan's mistake) our defence were very solid!

Having said that, Waterford did play some good football in the second half and dominated the midfield to some extent. They kept it down and passed the ball well. I don't recall them creating too many chances though.

Ben Whelehan and Paul Crowley would be two of the top players in the league if they weren't constantly crocked. Both have done it in the Premier. Crowley in particular would be a tremendous asset to any team. There are few in the league who can match him in the box-to-box player mode, he's a one-man midfield at times.

Smyth was outstanding, Crowley too. The only time I felt Waterford threatened in the second half was in the dying minutes when they loaded the box -- keeper and all -- for a corner. We should have beaten them by more than one goal, Cassidy, Duffy, Smyth, Baker, even Ryan went very close and we had a goal disallowed with the ref blowing up for a free kick (video should show that it was clearly a penalty) rather than play the advantage.

The reason is because we went too deep and let you have the ball, when it was 0-0 and 1-1 we we're the team in control and playing the football, but for some reason when we had the lead we were happy to sit back. Yes Waterford were better in the 2nd half but that's football, it's not so long ago Dundalk played Waterford off the park in the RSC and got beaten in injury time. If your honest you won't remember too many chances you had, possession but no chances. Good luck
