    Lightbulb Club Shop

I always mean to go into the shop after games but usually don't bother in the end...

Popped in after the Pats game last friday & first time in a while there & don't seem to be seeing much in the way of changes...

This is no comment on the workers there or volunteers but the mercendise quality could really be improved. The club colour is green yet only t-shirts or polo shirts were white or maybe navy. Didn't think the smaller items like pennants, mugs etc... too good either. Prices would be the issue but more the quality of the items...

btw having a W reg motor in the pale i was also looking for some rebel army decorations

Timing is the key ... when the stock comes in, after a few games though stuff seems to get snapped up.

Something for the car .... There are the small scarves with the rubber sucker thingys that stick to the back window, they look the business in traffic jams
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

If they disappear after a few games surely that's the cue to keep ordering stock??

ya the old club shop is a joke at times....empty shelves and fuc all stock. They really do need someone to sort out the merchandise aspect of the club. The shirt have been flying out the doors of anywhere that sells them, surely the club realises that there is great potential for merchandising??? Good quality, aesthetically pleasing clothing will sell. The recent rebel army t-shirt was terrible IMO. Grand colour, the crest was ok too, but the rebel army writing was so cheap looking....no thought went into the design..hopefully with the supposedly new kit makers next year a proper line of clothing can be produced for the fans.....-

Every single year we run out of shirts early and probably end up losin money from it. I think there will be a new club shop when they knock the shed. I think theyre putting one in at that end.

to be fair this is something that could only have been started now (i don't think the demand for city paraphenalia was that high up until the last two seasons) and i suspect the moves to change the club crest may have much to do with it.

now that city have seen that the shirts are selling and more people are looking at what's available in the club shop they should move forward with improving the standard and range of merchandise they have available.

i'm sure linda lewis is on top of the situation.

Is great to see more and more youngsters with City shirts on around town. If they could get their act together the club's merchandising could be everywhere.
