Sorry now Littleman but the Gally I was on about plays with Richmond, he was defentily there as I was talking to him at half time.

On the keeper issue, Palumbo is the lad from Wilton and with out doubt is the best in the league but as Littleman said already he aint available due to the behavior of Minty and Co last year.
Oh Berba on the Paddy O regan been the best He only there cause Hurley packed up!!

Horse24 as always the above is just my opinion of the subs. I know your sibling quite well I would say and agree he is good enough to push for a start and is good enought to play Premier, but where im coming from is the selection of the bench. 2 left backs of which neither are able to play anywhere else and no central midfielder who can control a game ???

Big Feela my prediction for the league------- Wilton

it seems at the moment its between 3 teams kinsale look to be the strongest of the 3 but it be good to see a new name on the cup from the usual suspects.on the subject of the a u l keeper the coachford keeper should get a mention as well.the center half kierian lucey is also a tasty
player.at the moment the oscar trainor team are doing ok we all want our own players playing and minty is doing the best with what he has.

Wilton have some good players who should be geting a call aswell. From what the manager has being saying he can't understand how they haven't.They got 2 players from corinthians seniors this season,a centre half and centre forward. Both have being playing outstanding with the centre forward has at least 8 goals an he missed the start of the season.Just think they should have been called this season if not next.

    AUL Premier

I was talking to a Wilton man at the AUL game, and he showed no cockiness whatsoever. He says they have 2 Grattans, a Kinsale & a Leeside left in their 6 games. He also mentioned they lost heavily to Kinsale in the first game, so they realise that nothing is done.

Looking at the table, the top four are neck and neck and even Littlemans troops come even with Kinsale if they win the games in hand. Their form may not point to a run, but, they know the road home which could stand to them. Could the trips to Dublin cost the two Dereks? The Street probably have left too much to do, but have proven they are comfortable in the top division after a sticky start.

I fancy Leeside who, if they manage to get over the Street, will exit the MJC to the Rovers and can concentrate on the league!!Seriously, the buzz of the MJC distracted them last year and second time around the buzz will be equally as good, but less intense, allowing more of an eye on the league.

Do the Premier League winners receive any more than, say the winners of a lower league?

On the AUL team, like Rafa, Trappatoni, Minty and every other manager in the world, we know better than them!! You can never be right, and hindsight is 20/20 vision.

Anyone any info/recent dealings with Dungarvan United?

Dungarvan wouldn't be one of the stronger teams in waterford at the moment.Don't think they ever won the league or even there abouts.Played against them a few times and are nothing special!!.

    Dungarvan

Thanks for the info lads. Who did you play them with, BigFella? Training going well, a squad of 19 going into the game. Thats not saying much cos our preperation for the Wilton game was absolutley crap! We have seen Dungarvan when they lost 1-0 to league leaders Tramore a fortnight ago. They will be good, but Im not sure if they will be as good as Wilton. It will be the usual underdog story - if both teams play well then Dungarvan should take it. If they arent on top of their game and we are, then who knows?

    On second thought Big Fella

On second thought Big Fella,,,,,,,,,,,,No I still dont share your optimisim.

Blackstone are a very hard workin club,on an off the pitch. They are one of the few clubs in the Aul that are year in year out tryin to improve what they are doing, again both on an off the pitch an I have the utmost respect for that.I would like nothin better than to see tham progress an enjoy all the praise that comes with it.I may even take a trip out there 2moro an cheer them on as I know a few of them from way back.

But the league they(Dungarvan) are from is of a better standard than our Premier an thats a fact .Crystal an Carrick have won the Fai junior since 2004 an Villa reached the semis only 2 seasons ago.So they are goin to be handy at least. So your left in the position of would you go for a handy premier side from a better standard league or a good 1st division club from a lesser league.

Reputation means nothin,we have spent the last 2 seasons makin a mockery of so called big sides an this year had to taste some of our own medicine so I know what I'm on about.

Heart says Rovers to win, head says Dungarvan

    MJC

Lads, Thanks for the good wishes. Its at times like this and before our Cup Final last year that we are amazed by who is watching your progress and results.

Lots of people you wouldnt think of watching all the divisions. Texts from all over, including MSL coming in.

A big day for the club, so I hope it goes well off and on the field.

Littleman is right, all our opinions are based on heart and head.

Casilles, is that the small jersey you were talking about on the Echo?

littleman I know the standard of the league,I played in it for nearly 10 years.I think blackstone have every chance, they're playing at home not the easiest place to go and playing a team that have only won 2 games out of 9 of course they have a chance, what team would'nt!.
In regards to the standard between the leagues, waterford maybe stronger but not anywhere near as competetive so for me the aul is a better league.
Talking about the likes of carrick, these lads are in a league of there own. They've won that league I think 6 times in the last 7 years while wining or competing for top honors in munster and ireland.Of course we can't compete with this but any other team in the league is beatable. To be honest there's at least 3 or 4 teams in the aul who could compete in the waterford league and not look out of place.
