Game versus Grattan was called off last Tuesday as a mark of respect to a local family on a sudden bereavment.
Game versus Glenthorn goes ahead tonight. Was up in Brigown Tuesday night and credit must go to our groundsmen for having it in top nick.I'm sure the lads from Glenthorn will agree tonight when they see it.
Kinsale are off to a right flyer already.Should make out for a cracker on Saturday.
Sad to hear about the afters of Tuesday's match and i know there is no excuse but sometimes in the heat of the moment everyones mouth can get the better of us.

As I said nothing to do with us, we are actually training on the pitch tonight. Lads bursting to get the season underway

    Re Brigown Park

    Park Utd B 0 -4 Glenthorn B

Anone going down to Park anythime soon can certainly have no complaints about the pitch. The surface was immaculate. 4 up by half time playing some very good football. Took the foot off the gas in the second half and let Park back into it a bit. All in all have to be delighted with scoring four goals away from home and keeping a clean sheet. What position were you Parkboy??

    Question oh bugger

The very young killer B's were thumped 5/1 away by Bosco's B team .

Experience will help them develope an they will toughen up along the way.Good football players but the physcial side of things let them down for the moment.

What did you think Bella. Was the 5/1 a correct reflection of how the game went or were we lucky is was only 5/1.

I was at the grattan B game last night and the lads gave a poor performance in fairness. Got to the game after 20 mins and Grattan were 1 down and had all the possession and had 2 great 1 on 1 with the keeper which the CF wasted. The Bosco's CF got 2 goals in 2 mins to kill the game. Basic defending was the problem 2 balls straight down the middle. Bosco's CF was very good on the night and got a hat trick. 2nd half Bosco's got a goal after 10 mins and game over. In fairness to Grattan they kept trying to play good football but in the end it came down to experiance and good finishing by Bosco's

    Cool

great result for wilton 2day! was surprised when they lost 5-0 to kinsale! but leeside seem to be struggling a bit!! coachford got off to a good start to the season but saw them against blarney st. and as a neutral of the aul i thought they were very predictable long ball all the time and seem dodgy at the back centre halves and goalkeeper look quite shaky! i think they will be battling relegation at the end of the season! my tip for the league is kinsale thought ballypheane and leeside would challenge but seem to be after indiffferent starts to the season!

Well deserved win for us today unlucky not to have won by more. I felt that Leeside never really threatened other than a 15 minute spell in the first half. Maybe the Leeside lads may have seen things differently?

Another two tough games coming up against Coachford and Park in the next week. If we can take something from those two games it'll be a good start to life in the Premier, kinsale game aside.

What a difference a year makes

First game and a win for Innishvilla. In a division that only 1 side gets promoted from; a good start middle and end to the season is vital . I'll be honest all the 1st divisions are tough with only 1 promotion position and 2 relegation positions to play for during the season...

Now after last year it is a great start; Took 6 league matches to get 1 win last year. So a good solid start this year, that the team will look to build on.
”That should be NO problem for the defence – OH NOOOO!!”

Drew 3 - 3 away to Bally last night. They equalised with 2 mins to go, so that was a bit of a sickener. Referee was a disgrace on the night, Figo got kicked up and down the park and didn't get one free, dead cert peno in the 1st half ( their CB couldn't believe it wasn't given ) when we were one up and he gave nothing. Danny long should have been sent off as well, don't like the say it about getting players sent off. Booked in the first have and the ref blew for a foul took out the yellow and had the red in his other hand and he didn't give him anything. I might sound biased here but at this level we need good ref's to be firm in games. All in all a good start considering the delay in the season we've had. Looking forward to our first northside derby at home to Blarney street.
