well seeing as my other post disappeared ! I will finally put this to bed - I have never sent out a dirty team onto any pitch - unless i forgot to get the jerseys washed so i do take exception to what you said about us being dirty! As for the ball being in the six yard box when the ref blew the whistle i'd be more annoyed about what looked like a handball in our box in the last minute of extra time on the line! I could be wrong though as I'm presumed to be biased

Ballyvolane,Kinsale an Macroom as a result of last nites draw with Glenthorn now make up 3 of the semi finalists,Grattan can just about seal the other spot if they beat Rathcole away 2moro.
    Their's only one Dinny Pop's.

Talking to one of my old team mates today.
As long as Knockavilla dont beat Blarney St. on Sunday by a +3 goal difference, Macroom are more or less through .Big result for them last night. Keeping Glenthorn scoreless is a pretty good achievement . So best of luck to them.....

( Cant see the above happening though, The St. will be looking for a big performance before their Aoh. semi )

So it looks like the boys from the West are in

Well lads we got through by the skin of our teeth last night! We had to work very hard and truth be told we required a big slice of fortune to get the result. Kanturk had 2 good chances to put us 1 down in the second half but ddnt take them. In the end we got the winner from Big Dec and massive relief to reach another AOH final. Both teams battled superbly but we just shaded it. Hard luck to Kanturk. Amazing turnaround in the performance from the previous two weeks but the result is all that matters.

Just saw the fixtures for the next few weeks... park away on sat and then grattan away on tuesday. Gonna be tough...Wilton no game at all?!!? When was the last time they had a league match?! Help or hindrance do we feel?

Well Bog got a chance to see the game last night and very poor game it was. Thought Kanturk worked very hard and deserved to go to pens. Is this the team going for the treble Bog....

It is indeed Sham. Poor performance but we'll take the victory none the less. The next two league games will see if we're in contention for that trophy or not... park next sat and grattan next tuesday. Any team yourself?

    Foot.ie!

I think Macroom are now in the Mossie semis with Ballyvolane and Kinsale. can anyone confirm the last qualifier for us??

Kinsale fortunate to beat Kanturk but as the golfer Gary Player once said - "The more I practice, the luckier I get!"

I'm not sure but I think Grattan are in pole position... By my (very rough) reckoning. Gratts and Village both have 9 points but Gratts have one game left at home to leeside on Tuesday. Any positive result for Gratts should see them through. If they loose the game I'm not sure as Village have 2 big wins so should have a pretty healthy goal diff???

Any followers of Killumney or Postal from Div 1... Just wondering how their match went at the weekend.

I'm just a watcher Bog. Seen alot of seasiders games lately. I'm the one on the side between Wilton lads and Minty. Alot of rumours going around about Minty at the moment I heard he turned down Grattan job, any truth in that Littleman?

    Norrie News

Welcome on board Sham, the more the merrier.

I think it would be silly of us to think he wouldnt be approached by clubs junior or senior with regards to next season an fillin in some managerial position.

The amount of time an effort that goes in to the Aul managers job is massive,an all unpaid by the way.We all hear stories of Msl an even Aul managers an the alledged sums they are being paid to win,or more often than not not win anything so who would begrudge him havin a peice of the pie,but I'd be surprised as I do know he has been offered an accepted the Aul managers job again for next season. But no doubt every time a position comes available then his name will be mentioned as is the way.He is one of a very select group now in that he has managed a team to a national title an now he would be in a position to fill any position again junior or senior without anyone being surprised.

Most people know who I am on this site so when I say he has not been asked to take over up in O'Neill Park then thats the case.I will however readily admit to the fact he was one of many who were asked if they were interested in the position when we advertised in the ECHO pre season. He declined an the rest is history.

    Norrie News Pt2

Had a tricky away trip to Rathcoole Saturday in the Mossie. Not so much the opposition more the actual trip,a sat nav would have been helpful. In fairness though they have a smashin little set up down their when you do find it.A handy days work with a 5 nil win.Figo set us on the way with a double an Cotter Gally an Harry I think added the rest.Got the Village result on the way home.I was honestly surprised to hear they hammered Leeside 4/1 (seems to have gone a bit pear shaped down in Littleisland)to finish the group with 9 pts,the same as us but we have to just play Leeside in our last game. Our goal difference is actually better than theirs, but only just one goal better.A point would put us through but a win is what we will be goin all out for.Especially at home.

The Killer Bs were beaten again at home by Rathcooles 2nd string on Sunday morn.Let in 3 goals in the 1st half an then batterd Rathcoole in the 2nd but were left with too much to do an only managed to score one though they hit the post an upright twice, the joys.Great start to the season, bit of a let down since though.A tough trip to Springfield Tue night an I'd be hopin for a good result but again I'm only hopin.Sorry Bella but I wont be able to attend as work is manic at the minute an if I do make a game it will be the A game i'll catch.Best of luck though to the Killer B's an you'll understand my alliegence lies up in O'Neill Park Bella.

Kinsale had a lucky one by all accounts but the rub of the green is what wins things in the end.The Street an Glenthorn go at it Fri,tough one to call. All the one who wins to be honest as Kinsale wont be bothered by who ever they have to play. They dont fear anyone an at the minute are flyin in fairness. The lack of action for Wilton to be honest is astoundin,no game this week or weekend or next week midweek.Could prove very costly to them.We play Leesdie Tue in the cup, followed by Leeside again an Kinsale both in the league Sat an Tue respectivley.Wouldnt it be great to look into the crystal ball an see the league table next Wednesday. All we can do is our best.

Foot.ie! Mossie Linnane Semi Final Draw

    Ballyvolane v Grattan/ Village
    Macroom v Kinsale

    Neutral venues?
After the success of the AOH semi where the AUL probably made a profit after pitch rental and ref/lino fees, then I think the same should go for the Mossie - even though Macroom have a super pitch. I've never played in Ballyvolane so can't comment on that one.

    Mossie Linnane Semi Final Draw

I think Grattan may have qualified for the semi regardless of the result tonight having beaten Village 2 nil

    This is from billys blog

If 2 Teams Finish Level Group Winners Will Be Decided On Following Criteria:
1): Result of Game between the 2 Teams.
2): Goal Difference between the 2 Teams.
3): Teams with Most Goals Scored
4): Toss up between Teams if they cannot be separated on above criteria.

Ye really have fallen by the wayside alright littleman, id imagine its going to be a tough one tonight though. Yere the only team to beat us in the league this year so were not happy at all, we want revenge!!!

Whats the story with wilton do they have much of a changed team since last seasons prem A team or what- disco pants i think is the wilton rep??

    sea sick

I just heard the final score myself bella,5 nil at half time that was enough for me.Still only 2 , 1 as such in the 2nd so either ye got bored or we improved.Well done bella an ye can only ever beat whats in front of ye.

    Grattan 2 Leeside 2
One would have thought that a game between the current Munster Junior champs an the current Cork Aul Premier champs on a bammy sunny night in norrieland would be a mouth waterin affair, how wrong could you get.AS borin game as I have ever seen between 2 sides who didnt seem all that bothered at playin the game to be honest, just kind of goin through the paces an the goals were the only thin that kept me awake or stopped me from leavin,,,,,,,,,,,,,one to best put behind the avid football fan.

    Any other scores,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
