Johnny is a very handy player. Can play in a few different positions, great heart and a good footballer. Very handy addition to Grattan

    Slow to ask

Well Pacman we could be accused of being slow to ask players to come aboard.I know for a fact the number of players we have actually asked to join over the last few years would be very little.Less than 6 or 7 I'd say an thats being honest.

I dont mean askin guys down the bar after a few beers or fellas askin there buddies out in town on the weekend I mean actually talkin to players in pre season to see if they would be interested in comin up an trainin to see if they fit in or not.Its pointless askin every tom, dick an harry(hes back friday by the way) to join because it only dilutes the overall squad. Its better to ask who may suit the way ye play rather than just gettin extra bodies on board. If theres 2 or 3 before the end of the transfer window I'd be surprised, just depends who

    T'is what its all about

Opinions is what its all about, some may think hes handy, some may not.You could argue that Leeside won the Mjc with a lot of avarage players who had great heart and determination. One opinion was that Harry Goulding wasnt good enough for the Aul squad.Another was that Varian was the best center forward in the Aul,yet hes playin outside left with Kinsale. As I'v said its just your opinions an Im confident that he is a good player an he will be of a benifit to our squad. But thats only my opinion.

You could argue it I suppose. It wouldn't be much of an argument though, considering the quality of players who didn't even make the bench for the final.

    Littlemans letter to Santa

Dear Santa I have been a very good clubman all season.I have lined the pitch an put up the nets as much as I could.I collected script an even togged off one weekend to help the B side when they were stuck. My chairman said I was very good an the players too.I will leave some Heineken(an Miller an Beamish too) up in the dressin rooms for you an Rudolph. All I want for xmas is an it isnt even somethin for me,can you please please please give us a phuckin break with the weather an allow us to play football on our pitchs. My wife is sick to death of seein me on the weekends an the kids want to do me in im sure at this stage. Please Santa it aint much to ask is it.No world peace,no cure for cancer, nothin about hunger, just a break with the phuckin weather.Yours Littleman

    comin from Coachford i suppose?
Head to cork via the main road up in to ovens, keep on the the dual carraigeway pass over the Kinsale rd flyover continue pass Douglas headin for the Jack Lynch Tunnel, go under the tunnel and turn left to Cork City, continue on through the Glanmire Roundabout . you will be taking the next left exit , its right at he top of the flyover and staight up the hill. Headin up the hill its the 1st juction on your right not an Estate. Head up the hill and you will see the lovely Silverheights ahead of you , Mayfield is the left turn at the top of the hill follow the lane in and you are there. alot of instructions i know but its all straight foward. look foward to seein you there with your Blarney St Scarf!!!

Great stuff casilles. Will be shouting for The Street allright. Tis about time our Aul teams progressed into the latter stages of these national competitions. As the lads know they'll be up against it but if they hit form on the day anything is possible.

Only saw the 2nd half Streetscene but your team did you proud and were unlucky with the result. Your keeper had an inspirational day and the team will have learned from the experiance.

Mind you Mayfield was a far cry from Cancun today. Twas F***ing Freezing.
