Tyler Cup was the one in the early eighties.
Was doing a quizword yesterday and one of the questions asked was to name a north/south soccer tournament from the 1980's. The equivalent of the Setanta Cup I presume, only I can't remember one.
Can anyone??
Tyler Cup was the one in the early eighties.
Either the Tyler, Texaco or the Blaxnit.
Based on those years it wasn't the Blaxnit.
Could only be the Tyler Cup. Both the Blaxnit and Texaco Cup were early to mid seventies. Tyler Cup began in 1978 and ended in 1981.

What was the name of the competition (seventies?) that included LoI, Irish League and Scottish and English League sides later on?
I think the IL dominated the LoI sides.
" I'll go right up to here,
it can't possibly hurt.
All they will find is my
beer and my shirt."
That was the Texaco Cup, it was swiftly decoupled from the Great Britain version as the Texaco Ireland Cup (or Trophy, possibly.) Waterford won it one year and an IL team the other. Results were pretty even, I think.
