Free kick was great fair play to him.

Did there need to be that many yellow cards (and a red) for a game that wasnt particularly bad to be honest. Having said that, the ref did have a decent game.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

could have had a few more cards in the first half the way they were kicking Joxer Kelly round the pitch.

Thought the one fella for Rovers should have gone as well in the second half for picking up the ball and slamming it into the pitch in a clear example of dissent that everyone could see.

No real option with the red that was handed out though...

Good game overall - good quality first half - and real backs to the wall stuff last 30 when they got the one back.

Mate of mine watching it with me thought it was a good quality game

It was a good match from my point of view anyway, I don't know what it was like for the neutral. I thought we played some great football in the first half and had the game wrapped up by half time, we should have been further in front. Two great goals as well.

In the second half we decided to sit on our 2 goal margin and let Rovers come at us. By being forced to take Brennan and Rossiter off, because of the injuries they picked up, we lost balance down the left and gave away a very soft goal. Then at the end Rovers could have snatched a point (which they would not have deserved IMO) only for a great block by Owen Heary.

I think Rovers should have had 4 bookings by half-time, they were getting away with horrible tackles that got nowhere near the ball especially their right-full (who should have been sent off before half-time).

Nothing wrong with the second yellow, the first is debatable.

Hancock was terrible. In fact an embarrassment to even Alan Kelly standards. Hadn't a clue. Another game where Stephen Rice was hacked to bits and the opposition gets away with it.

Rovers were well worth a draw, if except the last 8 minutes of the first half where it was ok corral stuff. Amond should've played instead of Leech and Purcell should've been taken off because he was wrecked 20 minutes left. Looked much more of a danger with Amond and Doyle with a great goal and great cross.

I don't get to say this much, but SOC was probably Rovers' best player.

    The Model Club

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
